Val About Town

Know their weaknesses. Control their plans.

Val's a busy gal, and this is a build that looks to gain pure control of the corp's game plan. Activist Support ensures they keep that bad publicity, and our connections inside New Angeles City Hall will make sure we don't take the heat for it. Investigative Journalism digs up plenty of dirt for that burnout Raymond Flint to get his paws on, and we're packing HQ Interface because for each HQI installed, every new instance of bad publicity nets you an extra card from hand.

But blind guessing isn't fun. We also want to know what the corporation is up to, so we've enlisted a Woman in the Red Dress to help us out. Like what we see, and the corp decides to draw? Fire the Investigative Journalism. Like what we see, and they don't draw? Blackmail R&D or pop off an Eden Shard to get that juicy card into their hand. If we don't like what's on top, start building up.

We have the slow-rolled R&D pressure via Medium, and while previous versions of this included Emergency Shutdown as a way to get around Blackmail defenses, it diluted the consistency of the deck, which simply can't happen when you're dealing with 50 cards.

Liberated Accounts and Day Job make up the backbone of this deck's economy, although with the "sit back and wait" style Woman in the Red Dress encourages, adding Kati for longer form sustainability is the next priority.

Perhaps drop 1 Raymond Flint and 1 Day Job for 2x Kati Jones? Raymond being unique, and having 2 Hostage seems like you'll get him consistently.

I'm wondering if Hades Shard needs a place in here. Since their hand size is going to be dropping, they'll be dumping cards into archives. They might be forced to dump some agendas, either because they're flooded, or they're trying to hide them until they can Jackson them back. You think Vigil is enough cover for draw power to cut Mr. Li?

@Myth At this point I honestly don't know if Vigil can cover for Mr. Li. My gut says no because this a 50-card deck that wants to see some pretty specific things, so I feel like good draw power is something that can't be underestimated. That being said, once I get the chance to start playing this later in the week, that draw power is absolutely going to be something I take a hard look at.
