Firstly, allow me to give all honours to Abram Jopp, who created the first iteration of this deck and I have very much stolen heavily from. I have merely tweaked it to adjust it for the new era of NAPD fascism. The original deck design is: https://runthenet.wordpress.com/2015/12/25/a-one-armed-ice-feast-smashing-servers-with-edward-kim/ for those who are interested. I'm not sure if he is actually present on netrunnerdb, he might be @TheBigBoy and if that is him, full kudos.
So, with the NAPD crackdown, we had an influence problem. Cue goodbye to desperado, as the clone chips and parasites are integral to the deck in a way desperado isn't. Instead, hello Vigil. Same MU, and that extra card draw is good. An opening hand containing vigil instead of wyldside, is not to be tossed aside lightly, and that card has definitely won me a number of games.
The problem for the deck now, is econ. You want to be running aggressively, and desperado fed off of that, and that loss of credits really hurts in the econ trashing game. Imp remains very important as a result of this, sniping out important high trash cost assets for nothing. I've gone to 46 cards with a third career fair for the moment, to help with installs. I found myself with targets for it, but no career fair, far too often, hence the third. I've tried armitage code busting, and easy mark in there, but they just don't compare. The only thing I would replace it with, is some form of drip econ, but there isn't any that would work with this deck, unless you went mem-strips/something link boosting instead of vigil and then underworld contacts/data folding instead of career fair, which doesn't really do it for me.
The only thing I can really say is, I'm awful at knowing when to mulligan, and good god I love this deck.

Also, I imagine that Kim's ability is going to make it much less likely that Vigil with proc. |

I've thought about turntable, though not tested it, and I'm not sold. An early vigil, especially if you have been temporarily locked out of HQ, is invaluable. I have just never been quite sold on turntable for some reason. Kati Jones... is too slow and click intensive. You often don't have the clicks for that sort of econ I find, hence my ditching of armitage. The more forked the better for the NEH match ups where you hit data raven and gutenburg repeatedly. Kim's ability still fires plenty, I find myself knocking things out of R&D far more than HQ, which means it will still fill up. Some games certainly focus more on HQ, but R&D is more common. |

Thing is, because you are destroying their ice, you find that a Corp will often frantically be clicking Jackson to find more, which means your vigil gets you the extra draw. Most corps seem to just ignore it and keep at whatever hand size they feel like I have found! |

The joy of knifing a wraparound on r&d to do a medium dig, and then quickly imping the ice away that would have enabled them to protect it next turn. Nbn ice really struggles against this I have found. |

I've been playing this with Turntable and it gives a big bump to the NEH matchhup. This deck is solid, but I'm still uncertain whether Kim is the best ID for the shell. Whizzard with 2 Plascretes instead of Imps might be more reliable. |

I was experimenting with a version that kept the desperados but lost the clonechips. Its been doing pretty well. The instant speed parasites were good, but most of the time i was using the cutlery to take down ice anyway. I put in two Deja Vus to compensate. |

Hello there! I didn't see this until now. Well done :) To combat the loss of Desperado, I went over to Whizzard. This meant that I needed Plascrete but could lose the Imps. I also found that I hadn't used the Corroder in a long time and decided to try going without it. My changes from your list are: -2 Vigil, -2 Imp -1 Corroder +1 Plascrete, +2 Turntable, +1 Datasucker Play 45 cards bruh :P Especially when playing combos like Wyldside Chronotype. Also, Turntable is real. Desperado was awesome in the NEH match-up and Turntable helps shore up that loss. |

Thankyou! Yeah, the more I played this the more I wanted whizzard. Simarly, I have found corroder to be rarely useful, so ditched it myself. I still keep improve anti scorch hate, that and I've had worse are normally enough to see me through. |
just 1 thought:
Turntable
I personally think it's the best positioned console in the game right now. You likely have plenty of draw between Wyldcakes and IHW.
I would also try to find room for at least 1 Kati Jones. You could probably cut a Forked because many common sentries are relatively easy to Parasite.
