Just built this deck today. It's one of my first self-made decks, and I think it's the first one that's pretty good. The basic Idea is to scare (or flatline) them with brain damage using defective brainchips and either Tori or Ryan, and use Offer to gain a boost in points/hit them hard. I use the DBS to keep my agendas buried until I'm ready (yes, Jackson Howard would be better, but Opening Moves is the one data pack I don't have yet, so until the reprint comes out, DBS will have to do.) I don't have much for economy- Just three hedge funds, but I use a lot of psi-game cards to gain money off my ID, and I've found that with the damage threat I pose, I often have plenty of time to just sit and click for credits. I think I should probably find room for some sundews or MHCs, but I can't figure out what to cut. I think there's something here, and the deck works OK, as is (it's currently 2-2 on Jinteki.net despite my terrible piloting), but I'd love some feedback on how to bring this concept to the next level. What do you think?

I really like the look of this , I agree bad pub would be bad news for this deck. I think Eli 1.0 would be nice as is might help Ryon Knight even with Nisei Division: The Next Generation I would try to add some more economy from somewhere as Psi ice can be easily neutralised and costs money to rez. looking for to see the development of this deck ;) |

3 economy cards? No way you are going to have money for all these psi games, An Offer You Can't Refuse and the ice. |

I tried adding more economy. In fact I made several changes that I thought might be helpful: -3 psychic field -1 wall of thorns -1 ryon knight -1 tori hanzo, -1 marcus batty, -1 caprice nisei, -1 gyri labyrinth, -3 hedge fund +3 recruiting trip, +2 medical research fundraiser, +2 shell corporation, +2 crick, +2 cerebral cast, +1 scorched earth I'm not sure I like the changes, but it did feel like I could use more economy. probably still could, but I figured if I could keep the shell corps safe, they'd do the trick. The truth is, though, as long as I'm not getting constantly lampreyed (which just happened), this deck doesn't mind just clicking for credits, because with just 3 or 4 on hand, running starts to look pretty dangerous. Plus the psi games help to level the playing field with my ID, and DBS keeps agendas scarce until I feel I can score. More economy would definitely make it better, though. What should I cut, though? I'm not sure about the casts. I like the brain damage, but the psychic fields may be better in this deck. I think you're right about Fenris, although I do like to be able to rez him and hit for guaranteed BD on a facecheck, and potentially as much as 4 with batty and DBCs. I wasn't planning to ever rez it unless I knew it would do at least 2 BD in exchange for the bad pub. Ichi's still good with batty, though, so I'll probably make that change. Thanks for the feedback, guys, I appreciate it. |
This concept is pretty cool, but I would cut Fenris for a Viktor 1.0. Bad pub, IMO, is something you cannot afford in a deck where you may just have to score out an NAPD at times. Sure, they can click through Viktor, but taxing clicks can be just as big as taxing dough...and unless they have a Yog.0 on the table, it'll cost them something to get into the server.
