I did the Stoneship change I talked about in my last swift lat write-up.
France nats was awesome, this deck went 2-1. The tournament was 6 rounds of single sided, I kinda wished there would be more rounds.
My tournament run:
Round 1) win vs nervousnightjar Esa - She forgot I had tagged her dying eventually by end of the line
Round 2) win vs Sauc3 Ob - I found enough agenda's pure by poking the right servers at the right time
Round 3) win vs Larrea Kit - She stole an SDS trashing Lobi forgetting she had no more Compile left I locked her out after
Round 4) win vs aiyyyliens Azmari - Easy win
Round 5)
I got paired against davz131 Jinteki: Personal Evolution, we discussed if we could id and both guaranteed top cut (top 4). We ended the discussion with me declining the id mainly because I felt this was a good matchup for me anyway.
I end up regretting this so much.
I was ahead, controlling most of the board and already found 1 Fujii Asset Retrieval. But I died on a random HQ access, 2 Anemone got rezzed getting me down to 2 cards. I still decided to access 1 card in the moment forgetting Fuji + PE kills. I found the Fuji in a 50/50.
Round 6)
I got unlucky being paired against galehar who had to win to make the top cut, so I couldn't id to make it. My grinder ob vs galehar Arissana. I did not see a single ice in the first 15 cards. This is not that bad against Arissana, the game was going ok, but cuppelation was such a problem for my deck. We both made a lot of mistakes, but it ended in a loss for me.
grtll also won his game, making me miss the top cut ending on 5th place. The only other time I felt this disappointed was losing belgium nats finals 2023.
A bit of a sad run in the end, but Vaos made a cube for Sunday side event. Bless this man, I had so much fun. It was my first cube ever. I won the 6 people cube, so I can start calling myself king of side events :D
