Green Jinteki, 3rd place at local Tourney

Shockingcat 99

I recently used this deck at a local tournament, placing third, could have been second but my Strength of Schedule was a tad bit lower, therefore bringing my rank down.

This deck here, is meant to tax the runner in any attempts to run and punish him if he decides to try and access any cards.

With Dedicated Response Team, its great, causing the runner to always take 2 meat damage, which can slowly ping away at their plascretes. and I've had worse as you prepare for the Scorched Earth. If they to ballsy, and for multi-access, prepare to punish them thoroughly with both dedicated and Snare!, and better if you have at least out and rezzed.

And then you threaten them with you money making assets as they lie behind simply ice like Hunter or something a bit more taxing like Errand Boy, as you dare them to come and waste money so you can blow them away next turn. At times you can simply double advance your The Cleaners in a open server, as the runner is too afraid it might be a Project Junebugunebug, or worse they might think it could be Cerebral Overwriter. But then they cry in fear when you score it, causing you DRT to do 3 Damage every time, and your scorches do 5.

As you go on, and want to do things, Housekeeping definitely keeps the runner in check early game, and helps with the mill, causing them to slow down, as I ready for the final kill.

In the end, this deck has caused runners to spiral down in making bad choices, resulting in death.

Hahahahahah .... oh wait ... you are serious? Who would be afraid of Junebug or Cerebral Overwrite in Argus?!?!

I'd take the argument that they would be afraid of Seasorce- scorch - scorch ... but from Junebug or Overwriter?

hahahaha .... this made my day :)

Firstly, I like the deck you've put together here, but I do have a couple of questions:

Why are you using Crisium Grid? I'd think that would help the runner avoid the dedicated response team and SEA Source.

Why is the runner afraid of advancable traps when he'd already taking meat damage for stealing Agendas? I'd be more concerned about Punitive Counterstrike hitting me on the next turn, which I think I'll include when I try out my own version of this deck.

@bubbathegoat

Crisium Grid is really only there to stop Keyhole Eater shenanigans. Also as another way for them to spend money. But honestly it was somewhat of a test as they were originally Shattered Remains.

Because having a three max handsize is terrible as you now only die to one scorched rather than two. Also running into a junebug with 2 counters, means for 4 card loss, a successful run, and a loss of cards they probably needed. Normally means the runner isn't doing much for the rest of the turn.

If you aren't married to Crisium Grid, maybe Subliminal Messaging can find a place in this deck? It provides a little 'clickless' economy and punishes the runner when they can't keep running with all of the punishment you're dishing out. This might apply the little extra pressure on the runner needs to run into more mistakes.

Just a quick question: Do you put Dedicated Response Team behind Data Raven to provide that extra level of fear?

I've repeatedly thought about Subliminal Messaging, but never found the card slot to put it in. But, now its good as any to try it out.

As for Data Raven, generally I actually put it first at R&D or HQ first before I go to remotes, I'll put something of a more taxing ice in front of DRT instead, as I found its better for them to try to take the tag, then BAM DRT.

Seems like a pretty standard TnB Weyland these days.
