Deck valid after Fifth Rotation |
My first tournament after buying back in to Netrunner after last playing when FFG support ran out.
I've tried a fair number of Corps getting back into the game but I saw Baa Ram Wu's stream with an Outfit deck that played Building Blocks and Under the Bus and liked the look of it and had some good results with it in testing. I made a few edits, as is my style regrettably, dropped the Mavirus for another Magnet and included End of the Line as I was finding a lot of runners were comfortable with floating a single tag.
On the day the deck went 2-1 and a timed draw. I feel that the draw could have been made into a win. My runner game that round went long so it only left us about 10 minutes but I was all set up to start closing out the game. The only loss was against the eventual winner of the CO.
Basic idea is to cheat out some large barriers with Building Blocks and score behind them. Rezzing your illicit ice and playing Too Big to Fail you want to build up 4 Bad Publicity and then you can score those Regulatory Captures from hand. There is no late game here, your amassed bad pub means accesses are very cheap, if not free so you hope to gear check Anarchs who can't always find their breakers. I played some anarchs which were able to get the breakers faster than I could see the agendas plus a Sunny that made my large barriers trivial.
Runners are very rich today so never played Hard-Hitting News, I probably spent more time holding onto combo cards when perhaps I should have been power drawing to get scores.
