We're here to make the best upgrade sandwich. You're looking to explode from turn one with a developed and defended remote with ice that can be rezzed. What you want to see is Blue Level Clearance and Shipment from MirrorMorph; which can create a turn one where 11 cards are seen, and hopefully 3 more are installed. Dumping Breaker Bay Grid and Adonis/Simone/Shell Corp in an iced remote early is what's best. Once you start raking in the cash, hopefully you can rush out some agendas. Breaker Bay let's you spend to zero on turn one and hopefully still have gas to continue pressuring the runner.
My play tests were of a brain damage variant using Haas-Bioroid: Engineering the Future and Awakening Center. The deck was cumbersome with Adonis taking up precious space in the scoring server from time to time while the runner just got ready to run it later, and some draws not being the friendliest. I did land a 12 damage Janus 1.0 using 2 Sentinel Defense Programs. The Beach Party wasn't enough to cover their lapse in judgment. That variant inspired the addition of Wormhole as it could be a 7 strength brain damaging code gate.

The 45 card deck is definitely for more consistency. I could add more ice to increase the chances of me having three in the opening, but then that decreases the chance I'll see Blue Level Clearance, Shipment from MirrorMorph, and Breaker Bay Grid. Opening with two or three ice is pretty good, especially if one is Architect to help dig even further during turn 1. I don't feel comfortable adding anything except ice because that would reduce the chances for the ID to come out swinging. The Root is very good, but requires its own server. Simone just slips into the upgrade burger and shares space with the agenda I'm advancing. Corporate War and Simone are pretty ridiculous when you're not paying to rez Simone. I should check out Accelerated Beta Test since it could keep scoring windows open through installing new ice, but I don't have the Jackson Howard safety valve. Crick could be what saves those plays, but I figure if archives is iced, the runner wouldn't just face-plant into a Crick on archives to allow me to install a lost agenda into a remote. |
This looks like loads of fun, and I realize you are going for big scores, but do oyu really find Corporate War and Project Vitruvius preferable to Accelerated Beta Test? ABT seems like a dream here with the early rush and so much ice! (You mention the Ash recursion as factor, but it doesnt seem like it would tip it for me)
Is 45 over 49 just for a touch more consistency, or is there something I've missed?
Where do you install Simone Diego typically, it seems to me that The Root could perform the same function and more, whilst benefiting from Breaker Bay Grid even more!
Anyway, it looks like good fun, I look forward to giving it ago and perhaps I'll answer some of my own questions :)
