HMMmmmmmm (1st/undefeated @ Seattle async CO)

My region is extremely stacked, so winning basically any event here is quite the challenge. We regularly get players from Vancouver and Portland coming to our events as well; even just for a random CO it is not at all unusual to have multiple APAC champs, multiple intercontinental champs, the current and two-time world champ, and representatives of multiple prominent testing groups in attendance. With this event being online, we also got a few global reps which was awesome. I don't enter many events since organizing Cascadia and then joining NSG Organized Play, so it felt really nice to be able to take home the gold after getting so, so many 2nds, 3rds, and 4ths in this region this year.

Wins against Epiphany, tempo/damage/kill Ob, Kanehl R+ (three times), and jammy/rush/kill R+. You can find my corp here.

This is obviously just mulch, named for its ancestor HMM (Hivemind MaxX) which is one of my favorite decks of all time. This tournament was async and our decklists were locked in not long after worlds, so there are a number of changes I would make if I were locking into the same general deal today. Some quick notes:

• DJ Steve is a safety blanket. He is too slow to do much, can't be paid for with Paladin, and sucks ̶i̶f̶ when you go tagme against R+. He was only ever installed if I milled both Labor Rights. Would cut for Pinhole in a heartbeat.
• Swapping Revolver/Leech → Mimic/Takobi was a neat idea from fellow Bost-er maninthemoon that sadly just doesn't really pan out in practice. Takobi doesn't combo with Audrey, and having Mimic really sucks when you're concerned about a big sentry and just want to run. You want the Takobi down early so it can charge counters, but also never actually want to spend your setup time and resources installing it until the game is basically over, so it just kind of sucks at all stages. I'd swap back for sure.
• I never used Light the Fire at all. Definitely would cut, especially with Pinhole going back in.
• Add another Imp. Huge vs Kanehl+ and you are never sad to see it, and when you want it you want it early.
• Add another Botulus. I don't use these aggressively enough.
• I'm skeptical of the value of the 1x Laundry but I doubt it makes any significant difference.
• Probably go to 3x Knob. Not seeing it in the top half of the deck super sucks.
