Panic Precision - 2-1 (2nd Place) at Dublin CO

cone 3

I had been working on a fun NBN fast advance list that has lots of things it does well but then I realised its tragic fate: a zero percent chance to defeat Mulch variants. And that is unfortunate because I would like to have a chance to win against the probably best deck.

So the day before the tournament I decided to fall back to PD, an ID that is good a lot. I used Aksu's list as a base and then added a second Vovo because the description said that would probably have been good. I then rezzed Vovo once all day anyway but such is the way. Very good list would recommend defaulting to it when the thing you've been testing for a while fails too!

Game 1 I faced Tao, which was a matchup I did not know particularly well so I just defaulted to normal PD, built big remote jam agendas before the foolish rig needer can get in. This worked and I managed to secure the win without things being too dicey.

Game 2 I lost to Ken, who wisely never set up any kind of rig. I went ahead on points early, hitting 5 but at the cost of no money, which then came back to bite me. Twinning pulls from R&D and just good crim plays got me in the end before I could get my economy back to the point where I could safely score a third agenda.

Game 3 I faced Reina. This was a good matchup, I could jam 4 points quite quickly but then a thread lightly into 2 en passants on my remote was swung momentum back towards me. I managed to luckily because I drew quite well and was able to rebuild my server before I lost. Bran is a very large boy and he helps keep me safe. Very kind of him.

Really fun day, thanks to everyone who came and all my opponents.
