#2.1b H-B&Ice!

Ventrikel 28

My first runner deck was built for burst economy, this is my first ever corp deck and I started the deck out with building a good drip economy. I have not played it yet, but I plan on building vertical with loads of ice on top of a remote server and central servers. Priority Requisition and Accelerated Beta Test will allow me to get bursts of ice out cheap. I just got what lies ahead for more agenda options. I really liked the Matrix Analyzer but it took a lot of influence. In this version I removed it to fit Caduceus which fits better with the economy I want. Removed Aggressive Negotiation and Hedge Fund too, to make the deck more slim.

I'll have to keep Hedge Fund in mind though, it wouldn't cost anything to put it back in. And -1 Project Junebug -1 Caduceus would let me +2 Matrix Analyzer again, but removing junebug lessens the usefulness of matrix analyzer and makes my deck with already few traps more predictable. The slim size of the deck is important, as 21 ice / 45 cards makes Accelerated Beta Test more useful less harmful.

Going to try it out tonight, maybe revise it tomorrow. Maybe go back to v. 2.1.

Pro tip: Never remove Hedge Fund from a corp deck

I'd probably go -3 Shadow -3 Project Junebug for +3 Hedge Fund and +3 Snare. Too many advance traps just doesn't work that well but Snares are always great :)

Matrix Analyzer looks great on paper but I've always found it kind of disappointing, it's decent with the new advance ice from Order and Chaos though.

Beware of Mandatory upgrades, it's incredibly difficult to actually score since it will take you 3 turns (install 2x advance, 2-3x advance, 1-2x advance score) It can work in decks running Mushin-no-shin but even then it's not great, I'd advice taking anything else pretty much.

Thanks for the tip, @pleaix!

@Yziel interesting ideas! I've definitely thought of this problem with Mandatory Upgrades, the reason I got it anyway is because I prefer choosing something fun over not choosing at all. I'll probably put in two Private Security Force and keep one mandatory upgrades until I get an option I like better ;D

Your thoughts on matrix analyzer and advance traps/ice are something I will consider. I'm not sure I like removing ice from the deck, however. Maybe I should add some HB or neutral ice and go up to 47-48 cards.

@Ventrikel oh god I didn't realize the decksize yeah definitely add more neutral/HB ice if you want. Ideally Corp decks are 49 cards so you can have the minimum possible agenda - other card ratio.

Ash is also a great card that you get in What Lies Ahead, it's fantastic for those massive servers so you force your opponent to run them twice.

Have you bought two core sets? Seeing as you have two Corporate Troubleshooters and there's only one in the box. If you do it might be worth it to bump up your Melange Mining Corps to three

Preparing for this evening's test run: I haven't got all cards with me but only a few that I took out this morning. -junebug -caduceus ++matrix analyzer +++hedge fund. Sadly didn't bring private security force.

2x Corporate troubleshooter is a mistake, only got one core set :) yep, someone said a lot of good stuff about Rototurret as early ice too. Might add that. But tomorrow :/ Hadn't considered ash actually. Sounds good. Oh, haha, didn't realize you want low agenda-other card ratio, but it makes sense now that you say it!
