Whizzard : Blood Magic 1.1

ncaron 111

Revised version of this deck. http://netrunnerdb.com/en/decklist/13026/whizzard-blood-magic

I removed the 2 Retrieval Runs as they were dead draws more often than not and replaced them with 2 parasites. The parasites help a lot deal with small, taxing ice.

There is still security testing that is a bit hit or miss. In some games it's an all star, in some other it's basically useless.

This deck destroys NEH. Doppleganger + Hemorrhage combined with a lot of unprotected remotes is a recipe for disaster for the corp player.

Looks like it would be tight on memory. How about putting in some Djinns and dropping the number of each virus and using Djinn to tutor for them?

If Security Testing isn't working for you, would you consider The Supplier? You have enough hardware and resources that I think you'd get a similar economic benefit. And it sounds crazy, but you could probably drop Sure Gamble in favor of Daily Casts if you are using The Supplier, assuming you can't find anything else to cut.

I like the Doppleganger + Hemorrhage idea!

I see Hemorrhage as a softcounter to scorched earth based decks. Therefor I would drop at least 1 Plascrete, depending how often you feel able to Hemorrhage against Weyland, maybe even drop both. Your deck has a looot of draw, which I don't see as nescessary. Diesel is definetly too much influence for +2 Cards.. Like RumpleForeskin says, Supply instead of Security Testing might help you include a 3. Earthrise Hotel for drawpower. When using Inject, consider using clone chip. Would also work with Supplier.. Daily Cast and Dirty Laundry might also fit into this deck. It seems very light on credits.

Yes this deck has a lot of draw... but you need it to setup quickly. That being said I am tempted to remove Diesel Inject and Earthrise Hotel and include 3 Duggar's. With the saved influence I could throw in a few Clone Chip and maybe add a bit of econ. Maybe even replace Security Testing

@RumpleForeskin memory is actually ok most times. 1 Hemorrhage and 4 breakers/programs is all you need most of the time. With Déjà Vu you have to not hesitate to change your rig whenever you need... which is why I love the idea of adding Clone Chip in there.

Alright so...

-2 Diesel

-3 Inject

-2 Earthrise Hotel

-2 Security Testing

-1 Déjà Vu

+3 Duggar's

+3 Clone Chip

+2 Lucky Find

+2 Armitage Codebusting

At first glance draw still seems good, econ looks way better... Thinking of maybe trying Dirty Laundry instead of Armitage Codebusting.

Nerve Agent seems a tad redundant, with the Hemo pressure mounting that should ensure there is HQ pressure. Gives you one more slot for something (1 imp?)

can you give some feedback about how "Duggr's" work for you currently ?

@us0rman to be honest I haven't had time to play much since posting these changes so I have not really tried it yet. I will give it a spin on OCTGN in the next few days and probably post an updated version of the deck.

I am still not convinced Duggar's is the right call. I really feel the inclusion of Clone Chip and the replacement of Security Testing by some other form of economy are good moves though.
