2nd @ EMEA: No Longer Generic Lat

ryanbantwins 2748

This is the deck I played at the EMEA continentals in Bergamo. It went 4-3 in swiss and 2-1 in the top cut, with wins vs PE, Azmari (EA), Asa, R+, Ob (Eminent Domain) and RH, and losses against PD, Azmari (EA), Thule and Ob (Eminent Domain). The Thule game I should have probably won, if not for inexplicably forgetting I had an installed Miss Bones and thus could actually trash the Djupstad Grid, which was later used 4!!! times. And in the Azmari game I could have been less greedy with my Mad Dash, but the other 2 games were quite rough.

This list was originally based on the 'Generic Lat' from Rotage, because I feel contractually obligated to play any shaper deck this man posts. The triple Pinhole Threading, triple Miss Bones and the Aesop’s Pawnshop package felt quite good. But over time it deviated more and more from the original list.

The Aesop’s Pawnshop package was removed to free up deck slots, and exchanged for some easier options like Dirty Laundry, Telework Contract and Overclock.

A Revolver was added to enable some more aggressive facechecks, because Echelon can be a bit akward as your first breaker.

Mad Dash was added due to it's synergy with Cataloguer, and sometimes it can just be really clutch. For example when you Mad Dash archives on zero points against a Punitive Counterstrike deck and just instantly win ...

Stoneship Chart Room were added for extra survivability against kill decks. And it also helps you to be more flexible with your Lat: Ethical Freelancer draws.

Hermes was a last minute inclusion. I don't really need the memory, so I originally planned on playing without a console, but a random Hermes can always be useful and it indeed was.

Thanks to everyone who came to the tournament, it was an absolute blast. And special thanks to all the NSG volunteers for making this possible.

Mad Dash + Cataloguer is pretty cool

I don't think you were too greedy with the mad dash, I think you win 9/10 games from that board state! Very well done.

Mad Dash is definitely a sick include, 100% would shuffle with Spin next time. That was probably the sickest reversal in any Netrunner tournament I've played, congrats on the finish!
