Deck valid after Sixth Rotation |
Even though the influence has changed a lot, this deck plays essentially just like the old Big Deal version, with some extra bits of spice. You can hear my thoughts on the deck generally in Baa Ram Wu's YT channel
Reasons for the new cards: -Pivot: we can always use more consistency on killing people for stealing our Bact, and in those cases we rarely need the extra click. (when we do, e.g in ydl+2xpunitive turns, we can pivot beforehand to set that up). It also can get an agenda to assemble that part of our wombo combo if we are missing it.
-Adrian Seis: has done very little since getting released, because of how outclassed he is by void, however, he is the absolute master of Regenesis scoring. In matchups where you need to ice archives to safely score regen, adrian is incredible for letting you add defensive layers to archives with very minimal commitment. And once you have done that, you can move him over to the remote to assist in scoring the winning 5.
IMPORTANT CORRECTION: Adrian isnt perfect for archives. Since naturally on archives the opponent will still flip your agendas and stop regenesis. Adrian is still very useful for bluffing a 4th anoetic, and still forcing your opponent to run through archives ice twice if they want to take the agendas there and not just leave you with the option of discarding another 5/3 end of turn and be threatening Regenesis again, or alternatively spin them back to safety and play mindgames with future discard. I could see going to 3 anoetic 1 adrian to avoid this slight issue, but I might stick with 2 adrian for the ability to put 2 upgrades on the remote more consistently.
-Digital Rights Management: Spin Doctor is a crutch for decks that actually allow the opponent to run archives. Since we dont do that, we almost never need to spin, and the influence can be spent on speeding the deck up even more. I dont know how good this is if you arent on 4x upgrade, but with them, situations where the runner cant do anything about your remote even if they see it coming are very plentiful.
-Brân 1.0: Is a good card I hear. It is mostly here because we have run out of deckslots, so we need to spend influence on ice, and brann is the best in that slot (honorable mention to Tollbooth, but Brann is better when you are trying to be faster)

Still, I could very much see a reasonable version of this deck that does -1 Adrian +1 ydl and changes the bran out. |

Doesn't the runner still flip archives faceup, even if they lose (aka don't match credits during) the Adrian Seis psi-game? And this stops the Regenesis play, since the agendas are no longer facedown? I feel this could get you into a weird position where you go for the Regenesis score with a Bacterial Programming in archives, and the runner manages to both disable the Regenesis and Punitive Counterstrike plays by failing the Adrian Seis psi-game. Because of the Punitive Counterstrike angle of this deck, I feel like NOT losing 3-6 points might actually be a detriment some (most?) of the time. Relevant rules text: |

Doh, I see now you had also updated your description to explain this in between my page refreshes. Ninja'd. |

Yea, It is nice that because Adrian is 0 we can always choose to not Rez him on archives if we are confident in a kill, or Rez him to not loose points if the opponent has enough money and or tech. |
This deck is so much fun to play! Adrian especially is a joy!
