There is little safe from the Philosoraptor. And when you do come against something seemingly insurmountable, either try reasoning with it on a plane of greater consciousness or throw spiders at it. At least that's what my supplier always told me... he really hated spiders.

Love it! Has a lot of the cards I have been thinking about. I'm a but confused about Utopia Shard and DeusX. Can you elaborate why they're here? |

DeusX is only here as a buffer again PE really. I've found it useful in a multitude of cases, like getting you through most of the HB punishing ice. It's really a versatile slot so can be swapped around at will with little effect on the decks play. Utopia Shard is much the same, I've just found it to be a fantastic utility card and can really mess up a Corps day, specifically a corp who has been accumulating cards in order to get some sort of combo off (scorch earths, neural emps, biotic labors). Another fun idea to try in this slot would be a Rachel Beckman. |

Hey Sage is a sweet card, but I'm skeptical about Creeper. It's kind of miserable. It breaks Caduceus for 5, Grim for 7. I guess it's just there in case of a serious problem, but you will have problems sustaining runs if there is more than one sentry on that server. Add to this the fact that there are no Clone Chips or SMCs, you'll have some trouble getting your breakers out in a timely manner. I can see the synergy of Sage/overmind/Creeper and e3, but that's a 2-of int he deck. In short, you are going to have a cash shortage while running, but probably not while installing/rig-building since UC/Daily/Kati are the main form of economy and are slow. So generally, I think the deck idea is cool (and I'm not one of the people who thinks every shaper deck NEEDS SMC/Clone Chip) but the breakers are unrealistically expensive. I see an anarch philosophy at work here: use AI (-style) breakers and gain an economic advantage with passive coin. Darwin is the same cost to break and its cost is lessened with e3. But Darwin, and Creeper, and Sage, are expensive. They need some help in the form of recurring cred. I imagine, only from looking at the list, that you will do a lot of draw-go turns with no runs, which will put you behind. Have you tested it? |

I liked a lot of these ideas and incorporated them into my deck, mainly the Dyson Mem Chip + Underworld Contact combo, but I ultimately ended up playing Mimic with Datasuckers + Parasite as a support. It doesn't hurt Sage as much as you'd think it would (I never had a Sage below 5 strength yet), but kept running into the same problem that this deck would end up having as well. How do you deal with Curtain Wall? Or Blue Sun in general? I understand the Overmind is kind of a catch-all, but even then that's 7/10 credits per Hadrian's Wall/Curtain Wall, and I don't think there's enough economy to take down 1 sufficiently, let alone if they double down on it. Have you thought about D4VID for the larger, unwieldy ICE like Archer and the Walls? It has excellent synergy with e3, and you'd be able to focus more on the lower ICE. The only problem is your deck doesn't seem to have recursion, and I have no idea what you'd do to scrape 4 influence. |

So at the moment I'm thinking that I need to more reliably see Kati from the get go and also possibly more card draw in the form of pro contacts perhaps. I'm considering that The Supplier might be creating a bottleneck to the speed of the deck too. |

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but you can't install Overmind onto Dinosaurus. Dinosaurs don't like AIs telling them what to do, for whatever reason. The Datasucker/Mimic/Parasite suite has worked out for me so far. The only sentries you have to worry about above STR 3 are Grim, Taurus, and Archer. Ichi 1.0/2.0 is there too, but e3 provides support for that unless you 3rd/4th click run (and you don't do that against HB anyway, unless you're desperate/confident). I'm starting to have an identity crisis with this deck as well, the more I play it. I feel like I could just play Astrolabe, Corroder, and Gordian Blade (especially with the sick art coming soon) and function just as well. I've also used Professional Contacts as a source of economy + card draw as a means of killing two birds with one stone. I'm also playing 2 Kati Jones because you absolutely need to find it early. Also, I'm 100% on board with calling him Philosoraptor. |

The Mimic with e3 support does sound exceptionally effective and I think the identity crisis is a real thing. Thinking about what Sage OUGHT to be doing, its supposed to play the role of 2 breakers in one and reduce time to setup + get you access for relatively cheap against most anything. To that end my deck is not working at all really as I'm sitting back and building my rig and supplier setup for too long certainly. Sage's strengths are best taken advantage of early game before the corp has had the opportunity to setup many sentries of ice thats out of sage's reach. So maybe I should build around it in a faster setup way and use powerful run events like indexing instead to take early control of r&d and legwork to threaten hq early... |
This deck uses the fantastic SageDinosaurus combo paired with Creeper, link and Underworld Contact for great effect. Overmind is a great way to threaten the corp to slow down their gameplay while The Supplier fuels your ever growing rig cheap and efficiently.
Other tweaks I've also been trying include using Chakana as support against fast advance decks, even more draw power with Quality Time or varying up the economy with Professional Contacts. Pretty certain there's also a rather good Replicator build possible with Sage also
