I've always loved the aggressive supermodernism-style Weyland decks that reward you for putting your neck on the line, and punish your opponent for doing the same. I think this build does a nice job of bringing the fun of supermodernism into the Blue Sun age.
Once you start playing this ID, you realize that the ability is so much more than economy. I really like being able to move Ice around, and keep the runner guessing. I tended towards Ice that was miserable to face-check, and took ETR wherever there was overlap. I know the ice list looks janky, but I don't like seeing multiples very much, and tried to keep the 3 ofs to first turn stuff. Being able to predict ice is a huge advantage for the runner, and this list makes it very difficult.
Not only do I dislike that Jackson Howard is played in EVERY corp deck, (even hedge fund is less common these days) I dislike the very idea of it. Its like corporate procrastination. "Instead of maneuvering the board to where I can use and score my agendas, I'll just throw them away till later..." I understand the power of JH, but this deck wants a really aggressive start and Jackson isn't really needed for that. Plus, what does 3 spare influence get you?.......
JANUS. Thats what. An extra effing Janus. Janus is easily TWICE as good as curtain wall in this deck. Oversight is waaaaay harder to break (hello David) and if your opponent is face-checking ice every turn, what could be better?
Liz Mills is great. I wouldn't play her at first, but now I love the card. Shrugging bad pub and tempting the runner through your nasty remote are both great things for Blue Sun, and she can do both at the same time. This deck needs scoring windows in the late game, so that's where Liz, Wisp, and Snare really come in.
I built the deck for exciting matches, but it's doing so well on Octgn that I thought I'd share it. Thoughts and comments greatly appreciated.
