I am a massive fan of Silhouette, but really haven't ever gotten her to run, not in a way that was anything but slow. However, 40 cards and a built in expose, to me, makes for a powerful identity. Recently, I've been trying to sort out just how to make this identity really do what she's built to do, and hopefully become nastily competitive in my local scene.
Blackguard is out. Ugh, too expensive, too slow. Silhouette needs to be fast, screamy fast, and focused. She needs to hit hard, get what she wants, and get out.
Thus, this deck, a 'tag me' variant of Silhouette that hopefully accomplishes all of these things.
Economy:
All events. Desperado gives constant drip, while the Sure Gambles, Dirty Laundry, and Account Siphons make up the rest.
Don't bother clearing tags, you're going to be getting a lot of 'em. Instead, look for your plascrete and keep running, keep the corp poor. Account siphon is your primary weapon - use it early and often, draining corp money whenever possible.
Runs:
Run as much as possible. You're using central-only breakers, and have lots of draw to get them. Focus on HQ to both make their hand sad as well as constantly expose whatever it is they've had the temerity to put out. Trash wherever possible. Don't let the corp have anything - if they're broke, you don't want them to recover. Keep their assets gone.
Finally... blackmail. The Activist Support/Blackmail combo enables runs into remotes. Don't break this by allowing the corp to rez ice on remotes before you're ready to run.
Recursion:
Deja Vu and Same Old Thing are your only recursion. In this deck, there are only two cards worth recurring: Account Siphon and Blackmail. Use them judiciously, don't leave the SOT out to get blasted, and, above all, remember that when you've run yourself out of cards, there won't be another go. Win early, put up constant pressure, and keep pushing.
Variants:
I'd like to find room for a Medium, which would enable pressure against both R&D and HQ. That or a single R&D interface would make things even nastier.
