"...and the man in the back said 'Everyone attack!'"

Pretty standard seeming Apex. Always be Running and E3 solves a lot of problem ice, but you can't threaten Apocalypse if you have to ABR. Convince the Corp to put problem ice on the remotes. If they mix it up, decide what's more important to Prey, Day Job is quite anti-synergistic with ABR, but I still found it's a good use of influence.

If you get 2 Wastelands up, and the corp actually has some ETR ice, your economy will fuel itself. Keep the Corp rezzing ice everywhere, you want them to think it's all going to fade away.

Chop Bot essentially lets you cycle cards, and with Wasteland, generate some money that you may or may not be getting anyway. Dig for answers. Don't be afraid to sacrifice ABR if being forced to run is a problem. You've got a 1 levy and a Deja Vu, don't be afraid of running out of cards, especially if you've established a trash-money engine.

Other general Apex pros and cons apply. Remember, you can go anywhere, and you don't care about floating tags if all the corp threatens is meat damage. Mulligan for a heart beat against a Jinteki, consider a mulligan for E3 versus HB, look for a Day Job versus Spark, and so on.

You've got to get a "feel" for when going for the Apocalypse is a good move; it will generally make you win or lose. A big part of piloting this deck is adapting to what you are facing. Even if an Apoc is a bad move for you, the corp will still fear it. Keep them poor if you can, but you've generally got money woes of your own.

This did well in a small store tournament, as people were not prepared/unaware of Apocalypse, or otherwise did not have much practice against Apex.

I guess I gotta be the person to ask: how well did this do, and how large was the tournament?

About 7 or 8 people in the tournament, this won 1, lost 1, and won 1 on time. I made it to top 4, and both following games the higher seeds elected to play as Runners, In the semis, the higher seed wanted a rematch against my corp Chinpokomon deck, since he had made a mistake and lost the game just before. In the final, he didn't want to play against Apex, so he also ran. I won both of those.

I doubt this deck would hold up too well in a big tournament against Tier 1 decks.
