Pre-rotation decklist |
This is a hybrid deck, play it as a normal Sunny Deck, then drop the surprise DLR in the mid game. DLR is a support tool, you win by contesting the remote and milling some agendas to get to 7 points. Depending on the game state, or if you feel like a dick; go for the mill. Name comes from a spell in Guild Wars 1 that belonged to a beautiful control class known as Mesmer, but mostly comes from a combination of Power Tap and DLR.
Your opening hand should be money and/or card draw, you need to burn through a lot of cards to get your combo pieces together. Try to contest the remote by forcing a rez and slowing down the corp, it's about sending a message. Letting them score is not a big deal (depending on the agenda), you can lock out the scoring remote with your rig, put pressure in RND/archives with DLR and have a one off Vamp to put pressure in HQ (Mostly to buy time or contest remotes).
Your combo consists of Security Nexus, DLR and Citadel Sanctuary. The better combo is Jak Sinclair, Security Nexus, Power Tap (triggers twice per turn) and Citadel Sanctuary. You mill 4 and get money while doing it, all while losing the tag.
Card Choices:
Making an entrance and Street peddler work really well together. You can rearrange your stack and throw out duplicate cards to get your combo pieces faster.
Deuces Wild: Gain 3 and draw 2 cards
Power Tap: Triggers twice per turn with your rig, makes you a lot of money while milling. Even if you don't mill use it with nexus and citadel if you need some money. Having one installed makes a big difference, three is usually overkill.
Citadel Sanctuary: The star of the show. Clickless tag removal and with power tap nets you a cred or two.
Magnum Opus: Money maker and plan B if your resources get blown up.
Career Fair: Great for Earthrise Hotel, Daily Casts, Power Tap and Underworld. In that order.
Ugh, cards I didn't want to include:
NACH: Breaking News and ASI is a thing that sets you way back.
Film critic: See NACH
Rumor Mill: Mostly caprice/batty tech, nice bonus that shuts down Jackson.
Card changes:
Rumor Mill for The source Rumor Mill and Film Critic for Beth Kilrain-Chang for a 5 mill turn or draw Rumor Mill for another Magnum Opus
Matchups:
Yellow is your worst fear, mostly BN into ASI. If you get to mid/late game you can close it out. A lot of their ice are tracers, you actually want to be traced. Data raven is your best friend. Against CtM go for the political assets, if you get a Power tap on the board their ID/ice are not that good. Look for NACH and Film, try to match them in terms of money, If you survive and get your combo pieces, it's really hard for them to close it out unless they can fast advance.
Red is fun! if going against a kill deck, vamp/sports hopper can save the day. It's always fun who can mill who first. Glacier style is a problem if the score a Nisei since your vamp becomes worthless, rumor mill can save your butt.
EtF... I mean Purple, A problem since they can Biotic out a win when they have 5 points. Vamp can buy time. Aggressive secretary can wreck you, so keep a spare. Consider swapping Mill for The Source.
Green is actually good. They have to play "fair" to tag you, Citadel and Hopper provide you with meat protection in case you are tagged. Just play money wars and you are good to go. If they have Bad Pub vamp them for a good chuckle.
Weakness:
The Sunny weakness:
Rush decks. - They can close the game out before you are fully setup. The deck has a lot of card draw and money but it is still slow. Finding the right breaker can be hard in a 50 card deck.
Fast Advance. - Vamp for time, mill to remove combo pieces and check archives if you think you are losing next turn.
Resource base deck. - ASI or Scarcity can ruin your day.
Worst Enemy: Vanilla and ASI
Gif since it's the culture around these parts:

It also is interesting you take NACH i find for the CtM match up i like to just hit their political and DLR them before taking the tag off I find CtM to be one of the best match ups for my deck. The fast advance i find to be the worst as you can't always set up fast enough to deal with them. |
This deck is so good and also fun to play
