Ready... Steady... G-FINISH!!!

So this deck came into being when a fellow Net-runner player and friend of mine told me that I am too focused on fully building up my rig before applying any kind of pressure on the corp, and suggested I try my hand at a deck that emphasizes runs instead. So naturally I would build a new one that completely over-compensates for that fact, with more than half of the cards being Events, a total of 21 Run Events, and a strategy that emphasizes running constantly, riskily and bombastically.

The major talking points about the strategy behind this deck include:

  • You will want to get a Mr. Li out as fast as possible, so as to be able to click through your deck faster and find the cards you really need in your current situation. Getting a Window next would be a bonus.

  • Your main recursive economy will be Ken's Identity ability (the first time you play a run event each turn, gain a credit) and Underworld Contact/Rabbit Hole. Notice now both of these economy sources are click free; that is deliberate.

  • Prepaid VoicePAD also saves up some credits, especially when all the Events cost between 0 and 2 inclusive. Speaking of cheap cards, no card in this deck costs more than three credits, with the possible exception of Rabbit hole if you use its ability; again, deliberate.

  • Burst economy will then come from Account Siphon, Dirty laundry and Security Testing. Pretty self-explanatory.

  • One interesting caveat of this deck is that it drains the corp of a lot of credits when you run, with cards like Recon, Account Siphon and Emergency Shutdown causing havoc with their credits.

  • Notoriety and Quest completed reward multiple runs in one turn, which is facilitated by Doppelganger and Early Bird. These provide your main way to victory, as playing all six cards rewards you with three Agenda points plus three possible Agenda cards stolen.

  • Finally, and weirdly enough, the ICE-breakers employed in this deck are both sparse and limited in their ability. However, Special Order should bring them out of your stack in due time and you have alternatives to accessing cards in remote servers, including Quest Completed, Emergency Shutdown, Inside Job and Darwin.

Overall, I think this has the potential of becoming a good deck, but right now I see two main weaknesses that I can't seem to get rid of:

  • First, This deck is made of 54 cards, which is 9 over the minimum, which is recommended by default.

  • Second, There is absolutely nothing in this deck to protect you from the consequences of running often, like face damage or loss of cards in your rig. I considered cards like Leverage, Crash Space and Lawyer Up, but adding them only exacerbates the first problem.

To any that have read this far, I am looking for any kind of feedback and criticism, both in general and in regards to the two weaknesses mentioned above. Please help, and I'll make a new deck with [Competitive Version] appended to the title of this one with all the recommended changes.

First I would suggest getting rid of cards like Window or Recon. They're not even good in decks they might seem good in. Then I don't really see why you're using Darwin as your AI-breaker since you basically don't have any synergies with viruses. Then I'd think about something else than Rabbit Hole/Underworld Contacts since this is a waste of time in a deck that wants to run fast. Use cards like Daily Casts or maybe even Data Folding instead. I'd also consider some Same Old Things in an event-heavy deck like this. Cheers.
