Pre-rotation decklist |
First of all I don’t know how to add a gif/picutre to the deck write up so rotage I need help with this.
Luckily Rotage1 occasionally has some uses and although IT skills isn’t one of them he was able to make this work for me with some kind of magic that I do not understand
Second of all the deck is based off one that syd7 posted https://netrunnerdb.com/en/decklist/61106/liberate-your-clicks-americas-continentals-winner. From their write up ‘I think this deck is most easily defined by what's missing: Liberated Account. Although it provides an abundance of credits, the click investment necessary to harvest one was exactly what I was trying to avoid here. The plan here is to get in the corp's FACE as soon as possible, and to generate value while doing it.’
This is 100% correct, you don’t have time to sit and click liberated or draw slow cards from earthrise hotel. You want to be running all over the place, this is netRUNNER after all.
But clearly this is not a straight copy. I’m not a fan of turtle so dropped them for extra copies of the breakers. Not having a way to tutor for the breakers means the best way to deal with #anarchproblems is just play lots of copies of the same card. MKUltra is just the worst so only 2 of them though.
Rotage, steffmonkey and Hyperbolic_mess all questioned the econ in the deck. With the 3 orby boys and companions you have insane drip. Its common to have 3-4 drip on average a turn and the 6 drip once all set up is very common.
As is common Rotage started complaining about some of the number, two ice carver, 2 dreamnet, 2 daily casts. I told him that the breakers just suck, like they are really bad. But Ice carver makes them so much more playable so you have to be on two.
Originally the list was on hunting grounds rather than no one home. Rotage said it was wrong and it should be swapped. I guess he was right. He can add something to the write up here. Rotage4 - I felt there would be breaking news decks, midseasons decks etc and no one home was a nice defence for those
The only thing more fun than vamping the corp down to 0 and then bravadoing the remote is using labour rights to shuffle them back in and do it again. Very fun, would recommend.
Round 1 vs greyfield on CTM (breaking news) I auto tilt against CTM, I don’t enjoy playing against it and as them. I lost this game.
Round 2 vs saetzero on sports (hunter seeker) This was a rig shooter deck with ark lockdowns. So I needed to be careful. I binned a MK for future and it went very quick so with only 1 left I had to be super careful. In the end I lost with a vitruvius being snuck out then another one put in a giant jinja server with me on 6 points.
Round 3 vs chouflower on SYNC (breaking news) I made a slight mistake and stole a bellona by accident (this was probably Rotage’s fault). There was a breaking news on the table, with a EOI to follow and then stuck with the tags. A few tense turns of tag me and I got the last agenda from RnD
Round 4 vs steffmonkey on argus (scorched earth) We agreed to 241, but kind of sucks since we had spent the last week palying games ready for this so one of us knocking the other out of potential cut always sucked. Steff very kindly shared his list with me since he was on my exact 45 Hoshiko list and felt it was fair to do this. This was a very close game with a econ warfare, too big to fail, HHN being a turning point in the game. I was able to recover and then had control of the remote and cleared out the prisecs after a vamp.
Roound 5 vs bblum on RP (caprice nisei) I didn’t get off to a good start and bblum got a scored nisie and then a corp sales team. Tried to contest the remote and got them down to 2 credits so could not score the obokata in the remote. But I forgot about the corp sales team drip and lost.
So over all not the best performance with the slit and I was carried by my blue sun deck. Rotage and Steffmonkey both played the list so will let them add their comments.
Rotage2 “borrowed” the deck and with no practice did better than me, I really dislike him the most out of all the Rotages
Steffmonkey - I was really struggling to find a list to play that I enjoyed, the night before I was considering just donating and not playing in the tournament. Having watched Swiftie play the deck in testing, and been smashed by it a couple of times, he convinced me to give it a go. I decided to commit to playing it for the tournament and submitted the decklist.
As I had only piloted a Hoshiko deck a couple of times previously we decided it might be an idea for me to actually try the deck out before the tournament started. We jammed a quick game against Swfitie’s Blue Sun list, with both Rotage and Swiftie giving advice on how to pilot it. After a close loss I felt confident enough with the deck to jump straight into the tournament.
In total I played four games (had a 241 with Swfitie in round 4 where I corped). I managed to go 2-2 with the list, had both a win and a loss to CTM, a win against Palana, and a loss to Aginfusion. The deck was a lot of fun to play, can really apply the pressure, and has a crazy drip econ once set up. I didn't manage an impactful Vamp on the day but felt nice to have as a backup.
Thanks to my opponents on the day who were all excellent as usual. Rotage and Hyperbolic_mess for testing, and Swifite for the list.
