So I added some ETR to my ETR.
I shamelessly lifted this deck from @iref after beholding it on this very site, for it is a thing of beauty: https://netrunnerdb.com/en/decklist/61013/europe-palana-top16-eurafr-2020-
I tweaked it a little, swapping out the SSL Endorsement for a Bacterial Programming (this is honestly a matter of taste, but I love the way Bacterial Programming can either save your bacon or hammer home a win), and the Envelope and Cortex Lock for a pair of Chetanas, because there's nothing better than a surprise Grip wipe when they've drawn up to try to grab an Obokata.
An early Nisei score is very achievable and it sets you up for a nearly impenetrable remote server, especially if you can stack La Costa grid, Bio Vault, and Border Control. A scored Nisei is also an incredibly powerful way to shut down runner shenanigans; over the course of the tournament, it saved me from at least three game-ending runner tricks, including a Diversion of Funds and a deep-dig RnD run with a stacked Turning Wheel. What an agenda!
Overall it performed extremely well, going 5-2 over the course of the tournament. The only two games it lost were to Freedom Khumalo. The first loss was due to an agenda flood in which I drew literally every agenda in my deck, and the second was to YsengrinSC's sick HQ RIP right when I was a turn away from the win. You can watch him break my heart starting at 8:17:00 here: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/697277058

Congratulation! 23rd place is pretty good. I am glad you liked the deck. All props to Chetana is cheeky include and is probably more useful than cortex lock, unfortunately I don't know how to win psi games. :) How many times did it fire during the tournament? |

Chetana fired twice during the tournament, and I won the psi game both times. It definitely helped me win a game the first time it went off, and I think it gave me a fighting chance against YsengrinSC because it wiped 6 cards from his grip and saved an Obokata from being stolen. Ysengrin won in the end, but it was really close—he ripped a Nisei from HQ the turn before I was about to score out. I also like the credit bump Chetana gives you. If they can't break it you essentially get a decently taxing ice they're scared to run for only 2 credits, even if you lose the psi. That said, of all the ice in the deck, it's certainly the most optional. |

Same goes for envelope and cortex lock in original version. I've been trying komainu but I am thinking that 3rd Engram Flush may be the best option. |
Why Chetana?
