Trash Man Omar

schrader 350

Highly aggressive Omar deck that placed 37th at Worlds 2017. Played alongside my Skorpios Rush deck, which was the top placing Weyland of Worlds 2017.

Gameplan is to install Maw and Bhagat and go to town trashing corp cards with them. You want to run once a turn as often as possible in order to trigger Maw and Bhagat as much as you can. Omar was chosen to give you as much central pressure as possible from turn one in order to get Maw/Bhagat triggers. He forces the Corp to spend resources and credits protecting all three centrals, instead of just HQ and R&D, which slows them down and thus gives you more turns to trash cards. Good opening hands are econ and Maw, econ and Bhagat, or econ and draw.

As stated before, this deck is very aggressive. You want to be facechecking Ice constantly to keep the Corp poor and spread their resources thin, but make sure you're smart about it: If HB has 6+ credits, then run click 1 so you can click through Fairchild 3. If you're against PU and they're over 5 credits, then be careful of Komainus. That being said, it can be worthwhile to facecheck punishing Ice; Round 3 against a Palana I purposely facechecked an Ice that I knew was a DNA Tracker because I had a Liberated installed, I didn't have any must-play cards in hand, and the Corp went broke after rezzing it, so they lost more tempo from rezzing it than I did from eating the subs.

Multhithreader and Mining Accident are included so that once the Corp does have all three centrals protected, you can still get through one of them for cheap and get your Maw and Bhagat triggers. Two Paper Tripping are included for Hard-Hitting News because tagging decks are probably the most difficult matchup, and you'll very likely get to a point where you can't safely run for Maw/Bhagat trashes without Paper Tripping in hand. Against asset spammy decks like Gagarin, get trashes when you can and make sure to check archives for Maw/Bhagat mills before they can put them back with Whampoa or Museum of History. Once they get set up and start threatening HHN, draw up for Paper Tripping and Turning Wheel, install Turning Wheel, and start building counters for a glory dig. If you're staying with the tag prevention, then I'd recommend switching one or both Paper Trippings to On the Lam, as On the Lam can protect against Brain Rewiring and Sea Source as well as HHN.
