Pre-rotation decklist |
Building off the Butcher Shop v. 4 decklist, I've modified by adding 2x Veterans Program (and removing the two Breaking News) in order to counter bad pub. This is especially important and effective when playing a deck based around Valencia Estevez, which leads off the game by forcing the corp to take a bad pub immediately. In the traditional Butcher Shop deck, there is no way of countering this.
This deck is based off of: http://netrunnerdb.com/en/deck/view/405099
Can't get it to display in the proper place.

Why does the bad pub even matter? I think BN is an integral part of any Butchershop deck, I don't see how you'd play the deck without it. |

You just said that it's in order to counter bad pub. I'm asking why you even want to counter bad pub. |

If you are afraid of bad pub, it might be a better idea to go without RecOrder and instead take Elizabeth Mills. Switch a few things around so you can take Tech Startup to fetch your other assets (thereby increasing the chances of actually getting your single Lizzie on board). Then you do not have to sacrifice the power of leaving a double advanced Breaking News on board for the next turn kill. Of course, this also means you should have a few more ETR around. Personally, I would go without IO - if you manage to fire it with lots of tags on the runner, chances are that runner is already dead anyway... |

I'll echo what has been said more mildly above: bad publicity, so what? If the runner is making runs to use their bad publicity the better for you. Breaking News is, particularly with Film Critic about, probably one of your better kill options. With the ice suite you are using, a bad publicity is going to do nothing. You have replaced two of your best cards with two cards that even bad pub heavy weyland doesn't use and only to counter, what, 1 runner? |
