We really did mean MANDATORY (4 store champs, best 2nd)

This is the final iteration of the corp deck I've been bringing to store champs this year. I'm not going to be able to make any more this year so I'm publishing the list. My runner deck is here.

I placed middle of the pack, 6th, 4th, and 2nd in the tournaments I entered. A lot of it was on the back of my runner deck, but this deck pulled its weight, too.

Ever since I saw Media Blitz I've loved the interaction between this and Mandatory Upgrades and I think you can do some really cool things with it. I built one as soon as D&D came out but my current iteration is a bit more inspired by the one that placed well in Worlds.

This deck takes a bit more of a foodcoats based approach to the deck, with breaker bay campaign econ and Ash and Caprice to defend your servers if you need to. I tend to try to find ManUp as fast as I can and just put it in a server, sometimes naked, because it doesn't really matter to me either way whether they steal it or not.

One thing I keep seeing when people build this deck is they always have 3 Media Blitz, and I think that's a mistake. 2 is fine. I think Caprice is a better way to use your influence.

My favorite play with this deck was against someone who didn't know what I was playing, so turn 1 I ice HQ and make a remote. He doesn't run it so turn 2 I just advance it three times, pass the turn, and look him right in the eye the entire time. He gets scared thinking it's overwriter or something else, and Turn 3 I score upgrades and proceeded to eventually win that game. :P

This deck definitely struggles a bit against the anarch flavor of the month decks, but it's still possible to win. Turing and Caprice really help slow them down, and after that it's just a matter of being able to score, either by biotic, manup, or just trying to put things behind Ash or Caprice.

Why no NEXT Gold?

I thought about it, but decided that it was too fragile for the cost. Assassin and Ichi 2 tax Faust harder and potentially eat up David counters they could be using on Turing instead.

If I had influence for Batty I'd probably consider it more, though.
