Neo Astro Butler (1st Perth SC)

raikhan 102

When I saw that Astroscript is back (even in its current barely recognizable form), I knew that I'll be playing NBN at the first tournament I can get to. It's pretty obvious that Jeeves and Remastered Edition are the dream pairing, which means go wide with NEH.

I didn't have time to do any testing myself so I stole Mumba Temple. The most important change apart from Remastered is going to 3X Amani Senai - that card is a monster tempo boost for this archetype, it's very good to always have one down somewhere.

Went 5-0 in total: won against Khan, Khusyuk Hayley, Freedom and Sunny, then same Freedom in the final.

I'd say this deck is a pretty strong contender if people are not playing Val, run-based criminal or Apocalypse. Suggested order of importance for trashing: Jeeves, Amani, Mumba Temple, Team Sponsorship.

Did you ever find the majority of your ice being 0 strength a liability? For example, "Baklan" Bochkin, Chisel, Prey, etc.

@BlackCherries I got really lucky not playing against any of those cards. I think people in Perth are not valuing Chisel too highly and Prey was rarely played outside of Apex: Invasive Predator. ["Baklan" Bochkin][(/en/card/26017) is probably going to become more popular but it's not so bad against this deck because it just derezzes. Money to rez again is rarely a problem and you do not really count on ICE to score - it's just a roadblock to make your never-advancing more costly.
