Why no NEXT Bronze? It's the signature ICE! In all seriousness, it seems an easy choice to me, given how cheap and efficient it is. It's also very good against Atman since its STR value changes the more copies you rez (which might be bad for the new Copycat, but still...). Seems to be a much better option than Viper, which loses entirely its value if the opponent has some Link. |

I run one almost exactly like this, I had to take it down from 27 to about 24 ice, because I wasn't drawing agendas fast enough. I also run oversight AI and tollbooth. If you can get that combo early, you're looking at scoring out 2 2-pointers or a mandatory upgrades. Once you've got MU, it's game over, scoring agendas from hand for 3 credits.... I insist running 3 vipers and 3 bronze though, bronze is a nice little piece of ETR ice for cheap. My econ runs on assets (3 eve 3 melange) with efficiency committee and archived memories. With Ecomm scored I can very easily get multiple uses out of a melange. Also consider running aggressive secretary, because with all the ice you can get deployed, even getting 1 breaker out of the game is often a back breaker because you could potentially have 1 of each type on multiple servers. Also Next crushes datasucker based decks when you run rototurret :P |

Well Next is not so strong atm IMHO. I like Viper better but the choice is ofcourse yours. I do not run many trashable cards just because i usually leave RnD open (i.e. no EtR Ice) with only taxing ice on it like Elli, Pop-Up and the various Sentries that trash programs but do not end the run. 26 ice is very important (you can get the math here:http://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1055802/deck-next-icestorm/page/1) and the boost that you get by having Ice before you even start your turn is very important. Viper is immune to early Yog, so i prefer it over NEXT for the time being. Try the deck and you will see. Aggresive Secretary is not so strong now with all the program recursion cards IMHO. |

Would love to see this deck in action on OCTGN or live play if you're in a recording mood :) |

I has a decent percentage of 62.5% at the last 17 games. Still the games were on OCTGN which does not guarantee the quality of the opponents but it is still a good percentage. The deck is a rush deck that forces early agendas. The main idea is to force the scoring either of a Mandatory Upgrades or an Accelerated Beta Test. It is crucial to lay down an agenda on the remote server you will create from the free ice and then advance it. Most of the times, it is actually good to activate the Accelerated Beta Test ability since the ice density of the deck is pretty heavy. In case you only draw 1 ice in your starting hand, mulligan without second thoughts :)
