My first runner deck. I am a noob with less than 20 games under my belt, so I have no idea how competitive this actually is, but it's worked well for me so far. It was born out of an Exile deck which used Scavenge/Test Run/Retrieval Run to recycle and reassign Femmes in the mid-late game and get in to all of the servers. However, it felt a bit slow and one-trick, so I decided to mix it up a bit with Rielle. The early game pressure she brings is amazing and Cyber-Cypher is another great target for Scavenge/Test Run shenanigans. The look on the Corp player's face when you drop Cypher + Tinkering + Omega and then Maker's Eye into their carefully crafted 3 ice R&D server is a thing of beauty. All the card choices seem pretty self explanatory to me, but I'm sure more experienced players could see plenty of holes, so feedback is much appreciated :) Oh and Paintbrush would 100% be in there if I had access to Double Time.

This is pretty similar to the Kitty I play. Are you not splashing for Yog intentionally? The main differences are that I run Dinosaurus over Desperado and Run 2 Atman over Crypsis.

Also, I would try to make room for at least 2 Carapace and 1 Deus X.

I agree with Bahn's suggestion for Atman over Crypsis. Kit's runs can get pretty click intensive and having to spend clicks putting counters on Crypsis could get annoying. Also, how are you finding MU in this deck? I imagine Sneakdoor is used for 1-2 turn ambushes and then is scavenged/replaced eventually. But what about Opus?

Also not sure how I feel about the Despy. It's a great card, but with only one, how often do you see it?

My suggestions:

  • If you wanna run Opus: - 1 Kati, - 1 Armitage, + 1 Daily Casts, + 1 Magnum Opus. This puts you at 3 Daily Casts and 2 Magnum Opus which will increase your chances of seeing both of those cards. You could use Opus to 1-turn burst econ for mid-late game big runs. And Daily Casts will drip feed you click-less econ.
  • For Paintbrush: I'd drop the Opus and go for 3 Armitage.

In both cases, I'd try to find ways to get more MU in the deck.

Thanks for the tips. I can see Atman going in actually, at first I thought it wasn't worth it without Datasuckers but being able to reassign it with trashy shenanigans makes it pretty fun. Crypsis is mainly nice because you can Scavenge him for Opus or vice versa at no cost, but I'll try Atman instead and see what happens. If Carapace and Deus X are meta calls then I'm not too fussed, I don't intend to start playing competitively any time soon. I'm more interested in making the deck work as well as it can do.

About MU: I like to have programs in my heap so I thought I'd try playing fast and loose with my MU and stick to having exactly what I need out when I need it, trashing it as soon as I don't need it (this includes Opus). It's worked reasonably well so far, although I can see it becoming an issue with Paintbrush. Desperado can offer a little MU boost and is great to help me keep running often but you're right that I often don't see it. It's nice when I do, but I'm not devastated if it doesn't turn up. Not sure if that's the role a 3 influence card should be playing?

Anyway, I guess its all in the testing and Tinkering :)
