A hallmark of a great (musical) theme is the ability to produce many interesting variations from it, and so it is with a good Netrunner deck! Grey Tongue is without doubt such a deck, so here I present you my variation of it, which I took to the Pandemonium CO (Boston) with a record of 3 wins - 1 loss, beating Azmari, The Outfit and Sportsmetal, and losing to Ob (got too greedy; got HHNed and Boomed).

Thank you to Jeff/Ysengrin for first showing me his version of this deck; I guess that makes it only fair that my game against him was the only loss I incurred with Êsa on the day.

Expecting a bunch of Azmari with HHN&Boom, I made some small modifications from the version I was playing before the tournament in order to be slightly less reliant on run events for economy: I swapped 1 Diesel + 1 Raindrops for 2 more Deuces, and 1 Running Hot for a Fermenter. In the end, I installed the Fermenter only once, where it played the crucial role of letting me steal SDS Drone Deployment for the win (with no other programs installed).

I do not often love truly competitive decks (or have the skill to leverage them when the opponents tech against them), but this is so fun to play that I anticipate playing it for a while!

I like how you acknowledge the influence of others in refining their deck and describes strategic adjustments made to counter prevalent opponent tactics, particularly against Azmari decks featuring Hard-Hitting News heardle unlimited and Boom!
