Lights in the Sky [3-1 @ Swiss Nats]

Theme

What’s this beautiful light in the sky…? Oh, it’s coming closer… oh no… BOOM!

Context

I‘m a new player and I lost all my runner games with a great deck (copy of CTZ the Worm, probably too difficult for beginners). The 3-1 result with this self-built corp deck at Swiss Nationals 2023 makes me believe, this is a great deck, at least for beginners ;-) Métropole Grid and YsengrinSC should reconsider putting Salvo Testing into the "binder" category ;-) (see https://youtu.be/YV87_K-RTi4?si=ve9QEjtuG657AFsu).

Goal

  • Start scoring and dealing core damage on turn 3 or 4 with Salvo Testing and/or Djupstad Grid protected by two pieces of ice
  • Élivágar Bifurcation can be scored in 1 turn dealing further core damage
  • Once there is 2 core damage dealt, Ontological Dependence can be scored in 1 turn and deals further core damage.
  • Punitive Counterstrike can seal the deal or punish the runner even early on, if they get lucky with accesses.

Support

  • Jaguarundi might help to deal additional/initial core damage
  • There are lots of cards which let you choose between drawing cards or gaining credits, whatever you need in a given situation
  • There's lots of cheap but initially strong ice to protect your scoring server early on. After 2 core damage, you don't need the scoring server any more

Improvements / Problems

  • Ice becomes paper-ice in the mid to late game which is a problem if you didn't manage to deal 2 core damage and can't score agendas in 1 turn.
  • Maybe some ice could be switched for stronger ice? Any suggestions are welcome!

If you have problems with porous ICE, M.I.C could help you - buzzsaw breaks it for 5 , trash ability coupled with jaguarundi could end the run against unsavvy runners (though ofc it works way better in Thule with Mr. Hendrik), botulus needs more than 1 counter, boomerang loses a ...
