World's Deepest Dive (22nd World)

This is the the Deep Dive Lat deck that I brought to Worlds 2023 this year, landing 22nd in standings. It's an evolution of a previous runner I played at EMEA, with slightly adjusted influence slots.

The idea is that while you are keeping some light remote pressure in the early game to slow the corp down a little, you are mostly looking to play multiple Deep Dives in a turn to guarantee a win. This is achieved by potentially using multiple Wheels in a turn and by Pichacao recursion and usually play two or three double dives sometime between turn 5 and 8.

Wheels mostly works as just an All-Nighter, but the ability to install her off Pantograph still translates to extra clicks on the combo turn.

The combo turns can be fairly intricate sometimes and they warrant some time spent learning them. Other important things to consider while piloting the deck are:

  • You should get your Lat triggers whenever possible, it's the main difference between the deck working and not working. You want draw the most cards possible and put down as many each turn. *Always mulligan a hand with no draw cards (Earth rise is the best)
  • You don't really need a lot of money on the combo turn: your plushie friends pay for most of what you need. *letting the corp score a couple of agendas is a good way to further speed up your little setup, and a panthograph-picachao/wheel are often huge deals. *fencer fueno MVP

The deck can deal against pretty much any corp with some knowledge, since lots of cards have different uses. Just remember to use one of the 3 click left before second dove to click your telework before diving against R+ in order to be able to steal that damn bellona 😜

I'd like to thank all of my opponents during world's for being awesome, cheerful, and damn good. Can't remember you all because i was mentally exausted and I'm not the guy that takes notes 😅 sorry! But loved you all!

Thanks to Claudio (Porkobolo) for being my anna davra okeo dothraki, and JanTuno for being the most entusiastici about sharing this weird born-to-be-junk list (most of the description here wasnt made by me indeed)
