[Startup] Built to Punitive (2-1 at Vault Games)

#endgame 130

(Runner Deck)

A rework of Built to Fry Your Brain, replacing mind games with cards that hurt the Runner whether or not he runs. Reversed Accounts costs zero credits to IAA, and can drain up to 16 on the next turn.

Priority one is getting a big credit lead on the runner, preferably by making the runner poor, because that makes the Punitive maths easier. Then score agendas and Punitive the Runner if he dares to interfere.

Hortum underperformed on the day, and I feel like -2 Hortum, +1 Afshar, +1 Winchester would be a better ICE suite. I also found myself throwing Government Subsidy now and then because I didn't have time to play it; maybe -1 Government Subsidy and (+1 Subliminal Messaging or +1 Wall to Wall) would be a better fit.

I'm sad that I can't fit Clearinghouse in, but to guarantee a kill it needs 6 advancements, which means surviving for 3 turns uncontested. Maybe a single Urtica Cipher could be fun - hitting for 4 cards is a big (and cheap) loss of tempo. (Landing an IAA Cerebral Overwriter doesn't help the punitive plan, and costs much more.)

Spicy alternative: 1x Ronin? But what to cut?

Beat a Kit who was ready for two Punitives when I had the third, lost to a Hoshiko who built up a strong board of good-value red cards, and Punitived a terrifyingly wealthy Q-Loop/Masterwork Az deck by a 1-credit margin.
