My attempt to play the Euros-winning Runner, making Day 2 with 30 prestige points (7th in Swiss) but getting knocked out before the Top 8 cut.
My thinking was to use Paige Piper to thin the deck, install Crowdfundings and find breakers a little bit earlier in a quick meta. However, as Drago's list showed, more breakers is the answer to the seeing-breakers-early question and 0 Paige Piper is the correct number of Paige Piper in the deck. That card had no business getting so close to the cut although it is a cute interaction.
The Argus and Outfit match ups are key and incredibly tight. You really have to super aware when to start hammering centrals with Freedom, probably slightly earlier than you'd feel 100% comfortable with protecting against Economic Warfare and Hard Hitting News. I cannot stress how well Drago did this in high pressure games. Too early and you die, too late and you get rushed out. You have to take some risks. The extra breakers make this critical point arrive sooner and, unsurprisingly, the Euros-winning deck is the much better version. Even if the remote gets out of hand, then you can often see a bunch of cards in R&D to give yourself an out although I suspect I was probably luckier in testing than against the very best players in Euro.
Once again, congratulations to Drago for playing an amazing tournament, bringing a fun deck like Freedom to the highest heights and showing that Bristol, with the UK and Euros champion, is the best meta in the continent :-).
