Shoutshiko (2nd @ CBI 2023)

This is a pretty generic Hoshipko list that did me well at the Circuit Breaker Invitational. I had been practicing my fingertips off on Root 66 (Worldtree Wu) for weeks leading up to the invitational but pivoted for fear of R+. Since it turned out that a mountain of Drago degenerates like myself showed up, I feel I made the right call.

The name comes from the fact that we (the Snare Bears) were testing Hush's viability for the tournament. But I ultimately decided against it because my lizard brain couldn't understand how to play that card as effectively as, like, a Botulus or something that gives me money. So, this Hoshi doesn't hush--she shouts!

I can't remember all of my matchups, but it beat everything except for Jinsei's Asa clown car server deck when we met for the first time during swiss (I won that matchup when we played it again in the cut) and Limes' Nani-Keeling Ag list, which was my last swiss game.

If you saw the stream, you know I goofed and uploaded and submitted an older version of the list that was on +1 Overclock -1 Dreamnet. I revised this list, adding one card here and taking another out there, several times after the initial submission, but I must have flubbed on submitting the last change. Anyway, I alerted the judges soon after I realized the mistake and was given a game loss heading into the grand final, which I unequivocally agree with. It would have been nice to run against @mjp's Ob deck to finish off the tournament, but that's on me.

Congrats to @mjp on a fine performance and the big win. Thanks to NSG, the judges @Ysengrin and @OrbitalTangent, and all the commentator and viewers and fans of the game. And as always, big hugs to the Snare Bears for being the best testing group on the planet.
