Spags-shop v 2.0 - 6-1 (4th) at Leisure Games SC, 5/3/16

Epimer 176

No surprises here, NEH is speedy and sometimes Just Wins Games.

My one loss all day was in the first round, to (I hate this name) Dumblefork. Even then I was on 6 points with an Astro token, but was hard R&D locked. If the second Breaking News was a 15 Minutes I might have been able to pull it off, but I wanted to have more opportunities to blow up Wyldsides. Still not sure on which is better. Probably the 15 Minutes, in hindsight.

I'm hazy already and didn't take notes, but I think my wins were against Noise and Ken (elims), and Noise, Chaos Theory (stimshop), DLR/Gang Sign Leela, and Valencia (big on Blackmail recursion and R&D pressure).

I don't like the Grim and it's coming out, possibly for a Tollbooth. I'm also never happy to see the Resistor, but maybe I'm just bad at using it. My opinion is likely skewed by not coming up against tag-me runners for a while.

I suppose the two notable variations over the canon list are no Archangel, and no Turnpike. I feel that those are both better options for taxing the runner, but I'm not interested in taxing, really. More so than ever in the current meta, all your ice is a speed bump. I need it to buy me just enough time, not to tax the runner out. Better players than me are on those cards, though, so maybe go with them instead.

I don't think its fair to hate on the name Dumblefork when your own deck is called 'Spags-shop'. Other than that well done on the great finish :)

Didn't think I'd need to explain the "joke" here. Although the inverted commas are well-deserved because, like me, it's neither funny nor clever.
