Taxing deck that works with Aryabhata / Transmission dish and that has the occasional flatline.
Why SOL instead of Making News
Contrary to other decks that work with Making News which tends to fall apart when the current is gone this one works better Midgame rather than early game.
Another thing that SoL has going for it is the fantastic protection News Hound offers. A 2 credit, 4 str ICE that taxes when facejacked and ends the run is exactly what you need to get enough time to get the taxman into their house.
Startinghand
I still play Door to Door from the Hand at the start if i have it just to make the runner pay 1 or 2 credits. If they have Sure Gamble in the hand they need to waste another 1/2 credit clicks to get back up to 5 at least before they can play that. Makes the costly 3 almost worth it first turn. I prefer 3 ICE in my hand though to lock down early Temujins but i'm not complaining if DtD is in the first draw.
General Remarks
The cheap ice only works if you can tax the runner anyway but they do work very well either way if there's no money around.
Aryabhata is great once it's behind a news hound or something similar, things become really nasty for the runner there.
If you play Door to Door midgame you want to play it when the runner had a big purchase and is hopefully lowish on credits.
Punitive Counterstrike if things go south and those restructured Data Pools get stolen.
Net Police is very situational but can be used as an ambushtype trace boost in a remote server when a high link runner thinks he's save with his Security Nexus.
Variations
Include Paywall to have a cheap current boosting econ if you can't afford anything else or simply to remove employee strike. If you don't like the flatline component simply remove punitive counterstrike and increase door to door to 3 copies and include out of faction ice to make facejacking scary. I like Komainu for this purpose as earlygame people tend to facejack NBN ice.
Don't bother rezzing it mid / lategame unless you are flush with credits, it serves well as an archives deterrent if all fails though. Ice like this tend to work much better in NBN than Jinteki as not alot of people expect them. They do expect traces though.
Honorable Mentions
If you find the spot, Surveillance Sweep can work wonders, the problem with it is that the runner can choose when it fires, with door to door he cant. But nothing wrong with it, it's very annoying to play against.
Full Immersion Rec Studio instead of Preemptive Action so you dont have that many Servers to protect seems to work well also.
