This was my runner for OTG!

It went 2-2, but don't let that record deter you. One loss was entirely my fault for not drawing and I was 99% to win otherwise. The other was 18 unique accesses for 2 points. Tested excellently and I'll most likely play it for my next ANRPC event coming up soon.

Notes / Explanations / Experiences

1.)

I love the smaller deck size but more importantly - the ice swap. Corp ice is in quite the pickle, so being able to swap it around is huge. Two points:

  • Corps save their big ice for the remote if they are jamming or HQ to tax your Cupellation runs. Shove the big boi towards archives and worry about it later for when you DD.
  • You can stack their Barriers and Code Gates to better suite your +str on install breakers. This makes your DD(s) cheaper.

2.)

I settled on 2x ENV and 2x Fermenter. Get 1x Fermenter as early as possible and follow up with your ENVs. If you are skeptical about ENV, take it out entirely. 1x doesn't feel great. Spec Work and/or Coalescence are probably your choices.

3.)

Like Wenjong (https://netrunnerdb.com/en/decklist/f45874f8-0b06-4e43-b23a-b4a15c31e357/-1st-otg-5-1-1-tempo-lat) I too considered the no console route. Ultimately though, I really enjoy Pantograph. In games, it roughly equates to 3 installs and I typically TM* use them as:

  • 1st is non-icebreaker program on their turn or non-icebreaker program / Wheels / Nuka on yours
  • 2nd is Pichacao if you are going to DD in response, or Simulchip, Nuka, SMC if you are not
  • 3rd is almost certainly Pichacao if you haven't already, otherwise read the ole boardstate

I also like Aniccam, but it feels like you have enough draw. Being able to install things clicklessly is pretty dang tight.

4.)

I went with the 3x Ritual + 1x Steelskin + 1x Nuka because that exactly gets you to 50% chance of having 1x source of drawing 3 on your opening turn, which was good enough for me. I also wanted to make it the least likely that I had to spend a click installing to get that t1 draw 3, which is why I went for the Rituals. I expected a lot of horizontal decks (OB, AU, non PD HB), so I wanted to better interact with the remotes created early.

5.) Harmony Linus safety blanket is fine....You either get 5 value cards (simulchip, pinhole, nuka, wheels, overclock) or 4 and a DD. You do you with this one.

Prospective Changes

-1 Steelskin, -1 Harmony, -1 Stoneship, -1 SMC +1 Nuka, +1 Maglectric, +1 Echelon

and/or

I'm going to revisit my version that was Muse and Gormound based. Definitely worse, but way, and I mean way, more fun LOL.

This deck has < 10% body fat 🔥

This deck kicked me in the shins, told my pets they'd never amount to anything, stole all my snacks from the pantry, and still had 3 clicks left after deep diving.

Forgive my ignorance but why Euler over unity? I get that the sub cost reduction is nice but what code gates are you expecting that to be so much better than? Are you just looking to do a double simulchip play on the DD turn?

Are you getting enough value out of dzmz to justify spending slots on it? I'm also curious if you considered Teleworks in place of the ENV + Coal package.

This man wiffed across 20 accesses in a freak accident vs Nebula. Don't let the winrate confuse you. Deck is 2legit2quit.

Some responses:

  • I've moved to Unity now! Euler was for DD turns + Cupellation, but Unity is just better overall
  • Definitely 1 DZMZ for memory and money. I'm still at 2x, but maybe I'll try it out.
  • Speed is everything with this deck imo so telework takes a bit too long, but the numbers are great. Do whatcha want and try that out.
