Perfection Kills v1.2

I played a lot with @Dydra's Replication Kills and some variants. I kept noticing a the runner often hitting Archives as their central run before hitting a remote, to keep me from getting my Subliminals back, or to fish out trashed agendas. Admittedly, maybe that's poor play on my part, as I wasn't playing enough ICE on Archives. However, @Dydra's original is light on ICE...when it's hard to come by, I'd rather not spend the money or click to install and rez there. So instead, I dropped in 2x Shock! to increase the taxation of an Archives run.

@Dydra tried to talk me out of this. I'm glad I didn't listen, because Shock! has been a hero in this deck...setting up a win situation when hidden in Archives, and scaring away runners when face up. Having them hit 2x Shock! while scoring 3-4 points from Archives is nice during those times you can only track down a single Punitive!

Still running Hokusai in place of Ronin. Loving that call.

I've been playing with the ICE build in this deck, as that's where it falls short for me. I can't quite get it to do what it should do (be taxing) beyond early game. This is my latest iteration, bringing in Hive as a taxing barrier, Shinobi as a tougher Sentry, a single Roto for an extra shot at Program trashing, and Whirlpool for fun...because having fun at the Runner's expense is what Jinteki is all about!

How is your economy performing here? Dydra's original didn't call for them, but I'm suprised that you dropped the subliminals without replacing them with something like Celebrity Gift. I also like to recommend importing Succesfull Demonstration for Jinteki RP decks.

I don't know Dydra's argument against Shock!, but to me it would seem to be better to install one piece of painful ICE on Archives over dropping two cards into it. Since there is the prevalence of the Runner Jack Out strategy against Jinteki RP, most people I've discussed this with opt for the philosophy of one truly brutal taxation ICE on each Central to ensure the Runner thinks carefully about going for a remote. In your current build, Neural Katana, early Rototurret, Shinobi, and Tsurugi seem to satisfy that requirement but I'd look to increase their counts to ensure that I have them when necessary.

Have you evaluated 1-2 Inazuma in this deck for Phase 2/3 impact on the Centrals? Like Whirlpool, they create a scenario where a Runner enters a Central running looking for a quick jack out only to find themselves thrust into extra tax that they didn't plan for. Inazuma into Shinobi promises a truly painful encounter for the Runner.

Econ is usually pretty good, actually. Private Contracts and Sundew are the primary income...Subliminal was hard to take out, but ultimately it wasn't giving me more than a handful of credits the entire game. I've only had one game where I couldn't afford to Rez the ice I wanted. I haven't had a chance to play much without it yet, so we will see.

Shock! is typically played in a remote first, then trashed once I'm ready to install something new there. I see your point about placing some really taxing ICE there, but the fact is that the ice here can and will eventually be broken. Shock! is forever. So far it's worked out well, but I'll try pairing it with a single piece of ICE too.

Thanks!

Oh! I should add that I'm totally interested in playing with Inazuma once it's released. :)
