Boom Rope 🧨

Runaway 168

This is the tightrope variant that I would have taken to Worlds '21 had I been free.

The ice is quite porous if the runner decides to go tag-me, which makes scoring out hard, but turns on your Exchanges and your Boom. Consequently, you want to rush in the early game. Best case scenario, you score a Beale, then 15 minutes, then get the runner to go low on credits to steal a GFI.

Against Aumakua, Thimblerig does great work allowing you to rearrange stronger ice to the outside. Hydra would work fine here but Thoth is a guaranteed tag even after the runner gets a killer out, and cheaper if you can't force a faceplant. F2P does tend to backfire a bit on Apoc turns but helps encourage the runner to carry tags.

Public trail has good forks where you can follow it up with Exchange or HHN depending on the runner's choice.

Always name Event, and don't change it, ever. Most Anarchs, Criminals, and Adam decks seem to rely on events to keep pressure on fast corps in the current meta. Occasionally you'll come across a Shaper or Blue Shaper where you suspect the deck will have more hardware / programs, and in those cases you should pick one of those accordingly. But flip-flopping turn after turn will allow them to deny you your Education credits. You want to force them to play sub-optimally the whole game, and as much as possible, so sticking with Events seems to be the best choice in this meta.
