Siphoned Surprise

Hello all.

For many, the loss of Siphon and Vamp meant the loss of a runner strategy. For me it meant the loss of one of my dumbest but most fun decks to play. It has had many names - Nimbochromis (after a fish that pretends to be dead) but I think "Siphoned Surprise" works best.

So how does this deck work? Well it goes in the following stages

Step 1:

Find yourself a player who hates playing PE shell games and plans to Siphon you into the dust once they are set up.

Step 2: Put out some meagre Siphon defense so you can set up a little (Targetted Marketting, Mogo) - plenty of traps, only advance the Junebugs where you can rather than Ronins - score out if they're really cautious so they learn that advanced things can equal points (oh no!) You also need to set up a Breaker Bay Grid and an Advanced Assembley lines masquerading as the Psychic Field/PriSec combo

Step 3:

Get to 0 credits. This can be done with either A. Runner events such as Siphon or Vamp. Sigh heavily to make this look convincing. B. You rez an expensive piece of Ice. Look smug, like your a big genius. They'll think you're an idiot. Perfect.

They will then know that the time has come to go and check that remote. Hopefully the Junebug. After acesss rezz the Breaker Bay grid and Advanced Assembley Lines. You now have credits.

FAQ

"How effective is this deck?"

Not very. Its quite combotastic

"How funny is this deck?"

Extremely when it fires. Which isn't THAT often.

"Even for your opponent?"

Actually typically yes. People love a good ruse mostly.

"What if they run the AAL / Breaker Bay"?

Rez it and hope they don't quite figure out how crucial it is. Mutter something about Hostile Infrastructures if you can.

"What if I'm too rich?"

You've made too much money! Rez more Ice, make a big tower of it if necessary, super advance crap. SPEND IT!

"What if I want to play Netrunner properly?"
