I made cosmetic changes to the Val list everyone has seen a billion times so I feel entitled to make a post about it. Obviously the list is very good and can win basically any matchup if you're a good player.
I'm not, so I put in a No One Home so I don't have to do proper math vs Econ Warfare/HHN and a Shadow Net because I didn't want to risk not getting into the cut because of some silly sportsmetal deck. While No One Home was a good include from the start and did very well in testing, Shadow Net was always the hipster card that I would put into a decklist just so I can say "I told you it was good".
Obviously in the last round of swiss I encountered a Nisei division deck with Shikyus and News Teams, so I could just index them five times instead of actually playing well. I told you about Shadow Net. I never drew No One Home in the relevant matchups, but then again I didn’t encounter any Loutfits.
Clan Vengeance didn’t really do a lot for me all day, I kept losing Indexings in full hands by clicking zer0.
Unfortunately you have to play Corp too in cut, and lady luck was not all that happy with me. It was a a basically unchanged Azmari list (meaning -1 Vanilla +1 fullart Wall of Static ff0x gave me) from Abram/TheBigBoy, so I won't post it. It was very good and very fun to play.
I had a super good time at Ulm, I was feeling pretty down on the game since Revised Core, but I had a lot of fun especially playing against (and witnessing) Tagme Liza. All my opponents were great (as is often the case). I'm reasonably sure I wouldn't have made the way back home safely without the crew from Nürnberg and them listening to me gushing about Crusader Kings and Queer Eye. Shoutout to Project NISEI, to many more tournaments like this.
