For those who don't know/remember Supermodernism was an early Weyland archetype where the Corp tried rushing out agendas under the threat of hitting the Runner with SEA Source -> Scorched Earth. In a world with no Scorched Earth this archetype is officially dead; however, many of the NBN decks in the top cut of Worlds 2017 were sporting Exchange of Information in order to pull off a SEA Source -> Exchange of Information. This inspired me to explore a way to do this outside of NBN.
I settled on Blue Sun in order to achieve this strategy because A.) they can bounce back really expensive ICE to gain a huge burst of credits, and B.) they have both Hostile Takeover and Standoff. Exchanging a Standoff with a Global Food Initiative is such brutal move. Another interesting thing about Blue Sun is that you can create a significantly protected remote for drip economy, but have the option to bounce the drip card back into hand and then either jam it back in, hoping to bait a run, or jam in an agenda, hoping they think its the same drip asset.
Notable includes:
SEA Source/Exchange of Information/Closed Accounts: As mentioned, this is the primary wincon for this deck. I thought about putting in All-Seeing I to deal with all the Sac-cons... but I forgot that All Seeing I Lets you remove BP to avoid the effect and this deck will cause some BP gain in the form of Hostile Takeover or even Illegal Arms Factory if you choose to include it.
Launch Campaign/Expo Grid: The Launch Campaigns can be swapped for Illegal Arms Factorys if you need the extra, clickless draw, but the ability to install the Launch Campaign in the same server as Expo Grid means you're getting an immediate net gain of 2 creds. Not to mention, you're gonna pick the launch campaign up before it runs out so often times it's essentially free to rez. This loop of installing the Launch Campaign and picking it up again basically trains the runner to think facedown cards are assets so sometimes you can cheese out agendas this way.
ICE: It was actually really tough to choose the ICE suite and I still don't think it's perfect. I really wanted a mix of cheap and expensive ICE in order to pull back ICE for huge sums. However, the really cheap ICE just gets rolled over these days. I needed ICE that could withstand the brutality of Shaper and Anarch so I opted for mostly ICE with 3 subs each. Chiyashi and IP Block were not necessarily included as AI hate but more just great pieces of taxing ICE. If I had the influence I would probably replace the Chiyashi with a DNA Tracker. Maybe drop the Closed Accounts and the Chiyashi for a DNA Tracker?
Tithonium is a card that is usually broken by Paperclip for 4 creds (or less with BP) but I still love it because you could potentially sac an agenda for it in order to gain 9 creds. That being said, I actually tend to hard rez it most of the time because you can just bring it right back.
Try it out and see how it works out for you!
