Deck valid after Fourth Rotation |
My first attempt at a Netrunner corp deck in nearly 6 years, using the Startup set because this new fangled standard card list is scary and difficult to wrap my head around.
This deck is based on the idea of leveraging Tollbooth, Ganked! and Konjin to deplete the runner's credits that they would otherwise use for icebreakers, while generating money from the GameNET identity.
Pop-up Window helps speed up early game economy, while cheap ICE like Eli 1.0 and Palisade pull guard duty for economy remotes (or centrals if I'm under pressure).
Send a Message helps getting Tollbooth out more reliable, and free up credits to build a honeypot trap using SanSan City Grid and Cerebral Overwriter. If SanSan fails, but the runner discovers that Cerebral Overwriter and Project Beale are in the deck: then the hope is that they think twice before running something with 3+ advancement tokens.
With the exception of Beale: all of my agendas have some sort of negative effect when stolen, further enhanced by Game Over. I should be reasonably wealthy once I'm in a position to start scoring, so Focus Group provides a fast way to juice up Project Beale (on the assumption that a runner will be light on icebreakers in their grip, but heavy on events or resources to drive them). If Tollbooth has taxed them out of playing hardware, then it won't matter if Focus Group ends up whiffing.

Seeing how I'm not running standard, sounds like a I need to take a fresh look at my options! |
Welcome back! Neat deck idea. I really like the idea of Konjin in GameNet. Just wanted to say that I think you should definitely include Gold Farmer in your list. Maybe instead of the Palisades? Gold Farmer is absolutely insane in GameNet, and isn't banned in Startup.
