THEMATIC MERCURY WORKS! This is pure criminal jank.
Amazing replay analysis by Metropole Grid here!
Game plan : Assassinate the corp leader. Sometime, along the way, you get all their agenda before that happen.
Mulligan plan : Swift or Jeitinho, this is a race against the corp turtling up.
Like the Titanic, we are feel unsinkable and we'll facecheck as much as possible. Let's make that corp pay! Also, like the Titanic, iceberg (glacier) are our weakness.
Once you see triple ice on every central, you'll have to pivot to the super slow game of remote lock with a side of central pressure.
Anansi does not exist, which is why this works. Anyways, with all our bypass tools, getting our Jeitinho knocked out of hand is not a problem, we'll get it back later.
Like true capoerista, we dance and weave through the defenses of the corp. When the corp think they got us after scoring two agendas, we face kick them. Then we duck under their card with a bit of sneakiness
We are all about staying up late, using our favorite beverages. Wide awake, we'll ride and kickflip our way out of trouble.
Always aware, we dig wherever we can, sometime you expose'em before you kill'em.
With the help of our buddy, we are always armed and looking for trouble.
And when the corp turtle up and makes life difficult, we can always take a times out at the library to get our mojo back.
OK, this is as good as I was able to make Mercury, while trying to keep true to the theme. It took many iteration to find out that Swift was better than Hermes, because of the facecheck plan.
I've seldom used Ashen Epilogue, but sometime the corp player go for the long game and it is the tool to recover from that. Otherwise, I would suggest that you do minusAshen Epilogue and minus one Dirty Laundry for 2x AirbladeX (JSRF Ed.).
The deck is fun, the play pattern is rather reckless, which is also fun. All too often, Mercury ability will win you the game. In my opinion, it is the reason why it is the correct ID for this. With Mercury, Jeitinho is not the ONLY win condition, since our ID ability matter a lot also.
I hope you'll enjoy this as much as I did while testing out this deck. This style of play (with this deck) reminded me of Esâ Afontov. It really feel just as aggressive and fast.
Cheers!
