First and foremost: due to the new large box set of Reign and Reverie, I highly recommend Knobkierie for $$ VIRUS VALUE $$.Not only does it give you a whooping 3 MU for virus programs (cough #Yusuf requires 2 MU), but it's ability to farm virus counters is important to bounce back after a purge, so that you can immediately get back to trashing with Imp. Through playtesting, Patchwork is not bad either.

This Virus Val deck is a deck that prides itself on the unique interaction of two cards: Imp and Friday Chip. This synergistic combo between these two cards means that there is an unlimited amount of trashing to be done.

The method of trashing of cards in this deck is distinct from most burst trashing decks...think: Clan Vengeance, think: Officer Frank, think: Eden Shard. While that sort of trashing hinges on the idea that you dump the whole Corp's turn in a single turn, this deck has more of an emphasis on picking key cards and combo pieces, due to Imp being a one time per turn use only ... don't always trash the first card you see.

What combo pieces to look out for? Ark Lockdown to keep your fallen Egrets from being removed from the game.

This alternate deck may be used against ICE heavy decks and glacier decks. With the advent of SSO Industries and space ICE, it might be important to get rid of those pesky Asteroid Belts that cost 4 virus tokens to break.
