Rush City Grid - Inspired by Sanjay and tehepicwin [Standard

Diogene 4232

Rush out agendas and make the runner sweat.

Game plan : Score agendas from hand.

Mulligan plan : you want at least one ice in hand.

Big shoutout to Sanjay and tehepicwin. I first encountered tehepicwin testing out a rush version of Nuvem. Since I was also testing Nuvem, we discussed our decks. I thought a rush version of Nuvem was a great idea, so I started testing my flavor of it.

First, I tried with Moon Pool, which seemed a good idea at the time, since it can recover agendas from archive. But it did not work well. Then, I went with Biotic Labor. It is quite good, since you get to use Biotic Labor for 2 less, since it will trigger Nuvem.

Then I played with Sanjay and saw that he was also testing a rush Nuvem. His version had one SanSan City Grid, along Biotic Labor. He also made me discover the power of Eminent Domain. Of course, I had to test it. In pure Diogene manner, I put 3x of it in the deck, as I often do.

And it is working!

The main trick is to mainly protect the remote and R&D (unless against criminals). You'll be jamming agendas as fast as you can, so there is no point in protecting your hand (usually).

Nuvem allow you many incredible things :

  1. Clickless 3 with Subliminal Messaging.
  2. Get rich really quick, since every operation can give you 2.
  3. Every operations allow you to know the top of R&D. You don't have to trash it, but knowing the top of R&D, allows you to prepare for the next turn better.

This deck will try to score from hand. There are many trick to be done. Here are some examples :

Big shoutout to tehepicwin and Sanjay for the discussions and inspiration.

This has made me think that Nuvem can be great of other type of decks.

There are ways Nuvem SA: Law of the Land better and more reliable. This present deck feels like playing Sportsmetal: Go Big or Go Home, but with bigger ices. Games often end with the runner on game point. There is so much more potential here. It does not even feel like it has 54 cards! For a faster version (but more risky), you could go to 50 cards (-1 Drudge Work, -1 Government Subsidy, -1 Trebuchet, -1 Descent).

Enjoy!

"Score a Project Atlas, using Slash and Burn Agriculture and SanSan City Grid, to either get a counter on Project Atlas"

How does this work? The reduction to the advancement requirement on Atlas doesn't change the "over 3 advancement" requirement of Atlas to get the counter, right?

@Angelnet5000, you are correct. I corrected the description. Thanks!
