First attempt at a Foundry build
Many moons ago, I tried to create a 'rapid crystallization' deck featuring a full cast of bioroids and supporting cards. It was quite effective the first couple of times as it caught many off guard, but the tricks are old hat now. I'm trying to apply lessons learned from that deck here.
I've diversified the ICE somewhat, while trying to keep three-ofs to maximize The Foundry: Refining the Process's ability. NEXT ICE is clearly a good fit for this, although I think it might be a bit too weak for my choice of agenda spread. We'll see if I can effectively rush the walls up in playtesting this week.
About some specific cards:
Amazon Industrial Zone and Oversight AI are here specifically to trigger Foundry's ability during the corp turn. I'm not sure there's much that really benefits from Oversight in terms of cost, but every little bit helps. AIZ is particularly useful, since the most expensive to rez ICE costs 4 credits.
Midori is included to give me a way to leverage the ICE in my hand. In theory, I'll have a hand full of ICE, since every time I rez I can pull another piece in there. This is also another install to pump Alix T4LB07 (more below). Finally, this is good defence against Nasir - later in the game, a NEXT ICE installed and rezzed will mean Nasir will have trouble breaking it since I'll have 4+ other NEXT out, and he gains maximum 3 credits.
Alix T4LB07 is here to capitalize on all the installing this deck promises. Normally, I'm not a fan since she is too easy to trash, but I'm hoping the sheer number of installs will allow some increased opportunities.
Isabel McGuire is included as an experiment. I read another player's suggestion that Isabel is great with Adonis Campaign and Eve Campaign, allowing you to bounce them back to hand on the last turn, only to play them again refreshed. We shall see.
Enhanced Login Protocol is only here as one copy, to slow down a runner mid game to make a scoring window.
Domestic Sleepers is here as current counter (a role I think it was designed for), runner bait (install-advance-advance, don't score), and to make it easy to win at match point.
Comments / criticism welcome.
