Upon seeing Andromeda lists using Desperado, Security Testing, and Temüjin Contract, it became pretty obvious that this almost unfairly good economic shell could support the derezzing shenanigans of Khan's birds. That along with watching Bewnt on YouTube play Khan with Keyhole got me to build this fairly brainless deck.
Beth is just good, but she could be swapped out for a Patron. Patron would probably be better actually since a player that rezzes ice trying to slow down your run rewards will reduce Beth's bonuses. Beth does create a good catch-22. The Scandal was an idea picked up from a Reddit thread about Khan and the utility of the bad publicity in dealing with trash costs and also enabling cheaper installation of birds. It could be dropped along with Corroder to make room for a Paperclip and some jank... or maybe Emergency Shutdown or Political Operative.
I can foresee solid barriers slowing this deck down a lot since it can't harass them yet. Fire and Ice Walls are scary if the Corp gets a bit of time. The fracter of prey might be a hawk or owl. Either way, it'll likely be gutter trash, and might be bad enough to leave out even if it can derez larger barriers. Desperado could be dropped for Doppelgänger, but you sacrifice early game pressure for late game insanity.
I don't like shoving in meat damage protection. I'm sure y'all can think of something, like dropping High-Stakes Job or something along the lines of that insanity. Also, Vamadeva eats most gear check alive, I'll have to check out how this deck flows with it later.

Playing this deck as I type. Pretty sweet. Data Dealer doing a lot of work. What's Corporate Scandal for, over Employee Strike say? Worth ditching it and Corroder for a Paperclip? Not finding Keyhole though means I'm not getting much out of my runs. |

Since you're having trouble finding the Keyhole, swap Beth for Patron. Much better draw, but not as flexible against rich corps. To reiterate, Scandal is to aid with the costs of running. Installing breakers with the ID, trash costs, and ice breaking. Strike is much better against Controlling the Message, Engineering the Future, and Jinteki IDs, but Scandal is all around helpful. Here's a memorable anecdote. My fiancée plays a slow Builder of Nations with Casting Call, Government Takeover and Punitive Counterstrike. She Casting Calls the Takeover early. I switched gears, knowing I couldn't win a battle of meat attrition. I had Data Dealer on the table, so I stole the Takeover, sold it, and ditched the tags. She couldn't kill me then, so I stole six more points and sold all of them. Couldn't score out to win. |

Hah thanks for the shout! With Peregrine as an inf-free Decoder option, Khan's worth revisiting. Great reminder mate :D |

Oh, I understand that. The 6 extra credits I had from Desperado, Data Dealer, -4 from the tags was enough that she couldn't trace me successfully. |

Ice Analyzer is also only 1 influence and would play perfectly into the derezzing scheme here, if it could be made to fit. Ankusa is a terrible influence sink but could address the barrier subtype issue (though this is very likely a bad solution). Reiterate the kudos for Compromised Employee seeing play as well. Maybe Emergency Shutdown would be a way to punish rezzed barriers instead? |
Nice deck. Hats off for reviving Compromised Employee
