Ed's Library

RTsa 362

This deck is some Serious Janky Business. I mean it's got LLDS Processor in it, it's got to be. The gameplan is to get the drip econ rolling fast, up to 6c / turn is amazing. Draw a lot of cards, make sure you get the Library on the table with a Femme Fatale, Overmind and/or D4v1d in hand. Especially with Femme you can pressure a one ICE remote very easily. If you find a Medium or Nerve Agent, feel free to install it (but prioritize the drip econ!) - this gives you the option of pressuring the centrals if they are lightly defended. The final rig is very scary, you can afford to make any run and it will not cost you much at all. Installing a 10 counter Overmind with 3 strength (and ICE reduced 1 str from Ice Carver) for free (without using up a click due to Autoscripter) is strong. Doing it every turn is bananas.

I chose Edward Kim as the ID to build this in to get deeper Medium/Nerve Agent runs. It also allows me not to run Plascrete as Scorches etc. don't survive for long. Not that tagging vs this deck is easy, since you usually gain 3-5c every turn and don't really spend it on anything after setup is complete. Also running Ed makes it possible to run UWC, which is nice - though not 100% essential..could drop those and Dysons for something else, but the extra link does help keep the risk of brain damage from Spinal Modem low. Those recurring credits do come in handy too!

Drawbacks? The setup is not amazingly fast, but that doesn't seem to be a too big of a problem in the current meta. I can imagine getting hit by an Astrotrain pretty hard, though. It's probably also possible to draw the cards in the wrong order (for example UWCs before Dysons) but if that happens, just draw more cards and pitch the ones that are expendable (UWCs, extra Dysons). Always keep at least one Femme and an Overmind in hand so you can always get agendas from remotes. Another hard matchup could be a Jinteki:PE deck as this deck wants to play most of the cards, so you might end up decking yourself.

I think the bases of this could be quite fun, I'm not sure about it being in Edward Kim: Humanity's Hammer but I'd give it a go.

@seeds34 Yep, I searched after posting this that there's a Hayley deck using LLDS here: netrunnerdb.com

The idea is similar. The difference is that this deck uses Medium and Nerve agent to provide the multiaccess. Also, more Femmes here to help provide early pressure. :)

I'm kicking around a Hayley Kaplan: Universal Scholar deck that essentially does the same thing and even with her multiple install ability paired with a Replicator, it still takes too long to set up. So I am curious what you find as you play this.

I will say that a 4 strength Overmind (due to the Ice Carver help) is no joke. If there were some way to throw in an e3 . . .

@JBen425 The Jank is real. :)

There's really no need for an E3. I've never run out of Overmind counters. E3 costs money, Overmind counters are free. Free is better. ;)

So far playing the deck (or a slight variation of it) I've lost 1 game out of roughly 5 or so. In that game I pitched an extra Femme and couldn't threaten a 2-ICE remote, which eventually lost me the game. The deck definitely seems at least somewhat viable. Lots of draw, the three Femmes and three Libraries means I get good remote pressure going on quite early. Could go as early as turn 2 sometimes, but usually remote pressure isn't even needed that early. Worst case is that the corp rushes out an agenda and you can't get in, but the late game free runs on everywhere seem to make up for it.

Actually one more thing, the Hayley lists I've seen so far have been too focused on setting up the whole rig. With this deck I honestly have won before having even a single LLDS or Overminds online. The Femmes and D4v1ds are awesome!

Lovely and unique deck! Enjoyed playing it, but I couldn't pull off any wins so far :)

Great job. I've been running my own version of the Hayley variant of this idea and I'm having tons of trouble with RP or HB decks running 3xCaprice. Autoscripter is moot once you lose your first PSI game, and forcing me to run a central server when I actually have to spend 2 clicks to 'reuse' my Overmind is just not fun.

However - you may be on to something here, since Anarch do include a bunch of cards that could help overcome this. I easily see myself splashing Amped Up for those occasions where you just have to run. A copy of Spooned to shut down that Tollbooth would not go amiss too.

I'll try running a variant of this version since I just love the idea of Library + Overmind decks :)

I'm personally waiting for Chameleon before checking back and seeing if I can make something out of London Library. There's potential for sure, though! :)
