Worlds 2022 was my first Worlds and I had a blast! I'm posting the deck to claim my spot.

Guess I'll Just Die

As many compliments as I got for a different Runner... I lost all that good will once Drago showed up to the party. There's not much to say here... It's R+ and it's a bit of a prison that can feel like a grind even if it goes really quick. Either I get tags all day long and the Runner just gets miserable before a BOOM! puts them out of the misery or the Runner gets to steal a few agendas and the game is over. The 2 Restore really makes the influence a bit tougher but did help when I lost a few Dragos. That being said, I actually scored out one round so I guess it's a good thing I packed that Backroom Machinations.

Results

On the day I went 3-2.

• R1 -- W v Loup (AuGold)
• R2 -- L v Hoshiko (Zeebag) -- I didn't realize the Apoc was happening... Didn't rez the HQ ICE... Stealing a Bellona on the HQ access along with the Mad Dash into Archives the next turn (no way to cycle the trashed Degree Mill) to get the final agenda for the win... Well played!
• R3 -- W v Hoshiko (Swiftie)
• R4 -- W v Hoshiko (Lopert)
• R5 -- L v Freedom (tf34) -- Once the Yusuf came down I knew I was in trouble... I couldn't keep the tags sticking and couldn't punish the tags that did. At some point I tried to pivot to scoring but that wasn't the right call. Freedom is a tough one to navigate. Well played!
• R6 -- NP (Vale) -- This was my 2-for-1 where I played Runner instead.
• R7 -- ID (JKLawlings)-- My opponent and I decided to ID to ensure Top Half as we both wanted to just solidify the top half and not have one person end up feeling really bad. We played one game with me on Corp and it was a slog of missed triggers and sloppy play but the R+ tag-hell was too much and eventually I got a win moving me to a 4-2 record unofficially.

Future

This deck feels like a bit of a gatekeeper? You have to deal with it or else it could just ruin your Runner. I know it's a bit of a prison.
Thanks to all the folks at NSG for putting on a great Worlds event and all my opponents and people that I played with over the weekend! I hope I can do this again next year!
