"Rusty"

So I've been wanting to make a Professor deck, and I recently binge watched Venture brothers seasons 1-5 hence "Rusty", so I finally sat down and made one.

The biggest strength, which is also the biggest weakness, is the professor's versatility. You can't do everything though so you have to know your matchups. NEH butchershop, money up as best you can and mod a Faust to get into servers to surprise access without dropping creds. Lower handsize doesn't mean jack if they can't tag you. Fastrobiotics? Clot, sneakdoor beta and nerve agent. Blue sun with OAI? D4v1d/Femme/morning star. Morningstar shreds hive/spiderweb and D4v1d eats curtain/Hadrian wall. I could go on but I think this is a really solid build.

The weakness is when people try to get as much out of his ability as they can without regard to maintaining a solid deck overall. Just splashing everything you can and getting 40-50 influence is pointless if the deck can't run it all at once. Professor is a silver bullet build. Get the tools you need to deal with the deck you're playing against. The weakest matchup I see right now is a PE kill build. I might need to find room for a net shield. As always, constructive criticism is welcome.

@HepatitvsJ I've played quite abit of The Professor: Keeper of Knowledge and I do agree with alot of what you say.

I actually find Breach to be better than Morning Star its generally close to same power takes up less MU and is cheaper to put into play it eats up those big Barriers like nothing else. The downside is easy to negotiate around with Medium & Nerve Agent in the deck.

You may also find that Djinn & Leprechaun are better includes than pure MU increase as they are usually cheaper and are search, Djinn is also a search on top.

Thanks! I like your ides for Breach. I've been working on a geist and Sunny build lately and I don't know why I didn't think about breach for the professor when it's going in both their builds. :) As for Djinn and Leprechaun, it's deckspace mostly, along with needing them in play first. I might eventually fit a Djinn in for it's obvious uses though.
